I met up with my friend this afternoon. We went off to a nearby fast-food outlet to settle our late lunch out. Guess where? We went to Mos Burger at Isetan Orchard, coz he said anything will do...
Next, we went to do some shopping, we went over to DFS, Wheelock place, Takashimaya and took a rest at the Coffee bean outlet in there.
This friend of mine was my ex-colleague and posted a question to me. It was about doing some side-line business during my free time. He said that i should try it out, he has contacts in Thailand and could help me intro to them. I told him it would be wonderful of him to intro me to his pals whom are in the fashion trends in Thailand.
Heard that his friends are also fashion designers as well, whom designs their own fashion brands and ships to countries like Europe and many others. Hmmmmm, that really got me interested at this point. Coz the truth be told, i have been exploring ways and means to satisfy me the entrepreneur spirit in me. I wanted to achieve something in life and could proudly say that i've done it.
So since he has offered to be my middle men, i jumped on this opportunity onboard. Hence, the next round when he is going back to Thailand, he has agreed to bring me along and at the same time intro me to the rest of his khakis...(Evil Grin...)
My plans will be as soon as i could get myself the contacts of this fashion brand designers, i will order in bulk and then have them shipped over to Singapore. Some of my friends whom are in the retail lines do go to Thailand to shop for clothes and at the same time buys them and brings them over...But he did tell me that it may attract GST while you are clearing the customs in Singapore as it is goods that is prepared to be sold in Singapore and its regulations states that all goods to be sold in Singapore has to declare GST...
Hmmmmm, how??? So what better ways but to ship them over....
Next, i will set up a online portal to sell these clothes. I do have some contacts whom are good in designing web sites and i think i could count on them to help me... That said, it could be easier said than done...
The following are the obstacles that i need to cross over to be able to succeed...
Firstly, i need to find some co-investors, anyone willing to cough up some money as capital investments? The capital invested will be used to buy the clothes in bulk, set up the web page online, subscriptions etc...
After all these are done, i will need help like bloggers to help spread the word around...Anyone willing to lend me a helping hand??? Leave me your details in the comment section that you are willing to help me spread the word, as incentives, as i/we are in the midst of starting these, i'm afraid that i can't promise any incentives but will do so once we see profits coming in...:D, these are what i can promise now...:D
But anyway, still depends on whether i can round up investors willing to share my vision here... Cross my fingers and hope i could find somebody, although i do have some people in mind already...:)
Okay, xoxo...
