The power of the PLASTIC CARD

Have you ever been bewildered by the Power of the Plastic? Or to put it more simply....the credit cards.

I can tell you that it works wonders. Just a magic carpet, it can bring you to places that you've never seen before and zooms here and there to satisfy your every cravings of being at different places at different times. Sounds great right?

Or

Imagine that you have this magic wand in your hand or a genie in a bottle. "Your command is my wish" You wish for everything that is in this world where "MONEY" is the password. You ask for big condos with hi-tech gyms, big olympic size swimming pool. Again, you ask for a big car, maybe a lexus or a bmw. You then ask for new clothes, new shoes, new accessories. You party all night long, you travel in style as well. You go to places where you have ever wished for and enjoy every bit of it. You sip cocktails under the setting of the sun and party away in the heat of the night. Next, you go brand shopping in the established shopping malls. You go for the upper class style and fashion and for once, you felt like a prince and everything can be bought to satisfy your every wish.

But hey presco...

You land up on your bed after the day dreaming of a rich Prince. But wait a minute, all those could have been true, you remembered drinking and partying till night fall....you remembered the buying of branded stuff minus the condos and cars...LOL

Suddenly, this statement from the bank asking for you to settle your credit card statements starting to float into your senses. You just couldn't understand how you could have signed for such and such purchases. Just couldn't figure out why such a figure appeared in your credit card statement. Began to dig into your brains for the reason for that particular spending and how it came about and asking oneself why one will splurge on such a purchase? - SEEMS ALL SO FAMILIAR RIGHT???

But i'm not here to tell you what you should or should not with your plastics. Learn to control your finances, don't succumb to them. Learn to put a reign on them. Don't let them over-power you, be a master not a slave. Learn how to control your desires or wants which i've learnt. I don't know how but i've learnt that one can exercise self-control especially in a time and place zone where you could just easily whip out your plastic and save the day...

Maybe, i don't have the habit of spending huge amount of money on upper class goods or services or that i do not have friends or families that have such habits. I think those can really shape you into a plastic freak. And at the end of the day, you become a slave to them.

Yes, i agree that it could be very helpful at times. But remember to set your budget where you can repay back to the bank at the end of the grace period. Anyone can be easily fooled and set a trap for one to fall in but if one can master the technique of setting your budget where you can meet then all will be in tuned.
