Into the year of the Tiger 2010

Hi everyone...

These few days did gave me a lot of rest and relax...lolz.

Firstly, i was sick all over. Had fever, sore throat, couldn't sleep at night, i kept having those irritating fevers coming over me in waves. I just hate being sick, it was like that for the first two nights until today, i was much better, am able to attend church and got to know that a few peeps were also down with sickness as well.

Well, for one i'm sure, i'm recovering and tomorrow is the first day of my start week since 2010 came along. I'm sure my email must be flooded with tons and tons of email, i hope i can clear them by the end of the day...hahaha.
My boss is due to come back from her holidays on Wednesday and i hope everything is fine with her holidays, hopefully, the office hasn't been calling her since she last left for her holidays in Dec.

2009 seems to have fled by so fast. So many things happened, like the bloody H1N1 virus that has caused many deaths and pains to all the people around the world, i hope those vaccines are helping to curb those horrible viruses, coz it really is dampening and pulling down the industry all over the world. When you have such viruses happening around the world, people for one thing will sure travel lesser and then comes the chain reaction, everybody gets affected in the chain reaction and we at the service level gets the pinch first.

Then came the economic depression period where it has affected the whole wide world. Everyone is affected, in Singapore, people are being retrenched and companies closing down one by one. I remembered my fren whom was working at DBS bank and that it was a hard time for them as they were also at this time cutting their manpower down. My fren witnessed the whole sad episode and was at the brink of defeat both mentally and physically but all thanks to her being the lower level in the corporate ladder and hence, she was affected in that exercise, although, the death sentence, she has escaped, the punishment for her is to accept the more workload that her other colleagues have left as in left the company and also left for her here!

We at the service industry had to bite the bullet and my company had some cost cutting measures implemented. So i'm sure everyone in Singapore what kind of cost cutting measures were being used - PAYCUT.

Not only us, some of the other companies are doing the same thing as well to keep their business viable. This helped to keep their present employees intact and i'm sure working in the same company beats working in a foreign company where one has to forge up good relationships with their new colleagues.

I guess these two were the biggest attack possible on me for the year 2009 and i hope 2010 will be a good year to behold. I wish that the service industry will pick up and that my sector will boom as well. Everyone will have lots and lots of money to spend and they'll think of traveling to other countries to spend their money too. And again, these will serve as a chain reaction as well, when we have alot of travelers, our business pick up, money money money coming flowing into our way...hahaha. And hence....
