My visit to the A and E hospital at SGH

Suddenly, i woke up in the middle of the night to find myself having a hot temperature especially, i can feel in around my neck...:(

I knew that it is the cause of my persistent coughing and the result of it having a fever in the middle of the night. I had this when i just came back from the Kukup trip and thought that if i self medicate, everything will turn out fine. But i was so wrong, the fever lasted for 2 days and on the 3rd day, i was much better, attended church and went back home.

Actually, i should have visited my company doctor to have him give some medicine to me but in my mind, i thought i had recovered and so did not pay him a visit. This went on for a few days and here am i stuck with a fever of 38.7degrees.

I was in such a great pain with this fever over me. I popped in a panadol and went back to sleep but sleep eluded me and i could feel my fever still in me. I told myself i can't really wait till 8am the next day to see a doctor and hence decided to go and visit the A&E at SGH.

Took a cab down which cost me $27 dollars and i quickly queue and took my turn. I was immediately attended by a team of triage nurses whom immediately gave me a mask to be put on. Took all the basic check and directed me to the Fever zone. Already i can see a number of people all waiting to see the doctor, it took almost 1hr and 30mins just to see the doctor. I came in around 3plus in the morning and i was allowed to leave around 6plus in the morning. It worked out to be about 3hours just to see the A&E doctors here. At the end of the day, if i had made the smart choice, instead of paying about $90 plus for the service and medicine, i could have saved it coz its free consultation and medicine from my own co doctor.

Oh well, its me to be blamed, no one else, i shouldn't have procrastinated but should have went ahead to see my co doctor...haiz

The end...
