Phi Phi Island and Krabi
The above pictures was taken on our way to Phi Phi Island from one of Phuket's jetty, it took about 45mins to reach Phi Phi Island. It was a rough ride along those damn waves as it is their monsoon or rainy season, the waves was crushing into our cruiser and although the cruiser looks durable and tough, i hope it will pull thru that tide. The waves was coming into us and most of the passengers were vomiting away and the staff were busily distributing plastic bags for them to contain it!
Some passengers was still very active and strong and even went out to the side of the cruiser to look at the waves crushing its side and mostly all came back wet and shivering too! I even saw kids out there as well and i prayed that the parents will keep a good eye on them! Finally, we reached our destination and from my picture there, you can see adults and kids both enjoying their swim on those waters. We went into Phi Phi Island for our restaurant buffet lunch and i was due to transfer myself into another cruiser departing for Krabi. One thing i dislike is that i had to lurge my luggage and bring along everywhere and then transferring them from one cruiser to another, luckily, there weren't much things inside. It took about half to 45mins again to Krabi jetty and i hop on to another land transfer to my resort called Krabi La Playa.
Krabi La Playa is perched on a slight Hill Top but you can still walk to the beach about less than 10mins walk. I didn't swim in the beach but i enjoyed the pool though. However, free internet or wifi is only available at the lobby, the restaurant and pool bar's wifi isn't strong enough! That is my only complaint being there, other than that, all is rather fine. Oh... the breakfast is a good too! It a long time since i visited Krabi, i'll like to come often now that i had re-visited this place. A place where one can just relax and enjoy the resort's facilities or take a stroll on their one way street or find a nice cafe and watch people passing by. Nothing much to shop except for those souvenir shops where when you see one, you see all! However, i do notice a lot of nice western food restaurant available on the street.
My personal favourite, if you do go there, i can't describe to you where, but its round the bend and this little make shift stall where the locals mend their little cafe and it serves delicious Thai food! I had their fried chicken, chocolate mango pancake, tom yum soup, etc... And for a fraction of a price, don't mind eating my lunch and dinner there all the time! Of course, i went for their Thai Massage and Scrub too! Only cost me below 1k baht, very worth it, definitely will go back again, i even had a free ride back to my resort too. While writing, i'm longing to go back again! See you Phuket and Krabi soon.
