You do heal but You'll never be the same...

This movie is a must to see! It carries the christian message that every earthly father should be a model to their families, take care of them, nurture their kids, teach them the way of the Lord and provide for them as well. How many broken families are around this part of the world, where kids are left to their own devices and strife for their livehood. Or even single mothers looking after their children and yet have to found the means to support their families.

Kids that survives from that, has two ways to live out their lives, one is that they grow up to be a mature and responsible guy just like in the movie of the black guy's life or the extreme, where they grow up being gangsters or mobs and destroy other people's lifes.

I was greatly encouraged while watching this movie, i was really moved, i was really glad that i didn't make the trip up to Bidor with my frens whom i would love to go with but stayed back to watch this movie and have fellowship with my brethens in Christ. I think there is a greater purpose in this that i don't see it now but in time to come, i'll be able to witness it.

Although, i must say, my relationship with my fren is abit strain now becoz i didn't go with them and i think they are my best frens around the trade. But i dun know, i feel like more of a use to them than being a REAL fren to them, now becoz i'm useful to them, they treat me like a fren but i'm thinking what if i'm out of the trade, will they still treat me like a fren again!

Nevertheless, if it meant to be that way, i cannot force it but let nature takes its course. I really need to enlarge my circle of frens.

Ok, i'll stop here, dun forget to watch it folks, definitely a good movie for this year!

I'm so poor in coordinating my clothes, which colour to go with which, i guess i'll have to see and try out and i'll know in time what colour suits me and what doesn't....:P

Its the year 2012

When i look back at 2011, it seems like it was a flash. I made new friends, got a new career switch which was a big thing in my life and i hope it'll go well in 2012.

How did you spent your 2011, was it a flash just like me. I know this year will be a good break for me in the month of Oct, as i finish my instalment on behalf of my dad which i was carrying for a few years now! It all happened when we decided to call it quits as he wasn't able to handle the monthly instalments as there wasn't a demand for it if i'm not wrong, decided to sell it back to the firm and pay every monthly the balance of the lorry. Decided to take over this burden from my dad since he is already old and till now. Again, it was like a flash, i'm happy that its ending this year, i could take some of that money and do something about it and maybe i can give some $$$ to my mum as well!

For me, i've grown older by a year now, i'm 40 years.... Alot of people tell me its just a number, its whats inside of you counts. I really don't know, can anyone tell me? I just hope that this year will be smooth sailing, everyone in my family, healthy and strong. That is the most common thing that people will ask for and i think i'm just a common person...

For chinese, we will be celebrating the CNY which is coming along the corner now. If i've been with my previous company, we'll be speculating when we'll get our AWS and so forth... Now in this new company, i don't know whether i'll get my pro-rated AWS as i've joined them since 01Jun 2011. Well, if it comes, it will be a bonus for me, if it doesn't then forget it and move on, just that this CNY i'll have to eat less and use less thats all...:P

I'm like a typical chinese guy worrying about my family, my career and since my dog passed away last year, my commitment is on my darling parrot now. Mark is still as naughty as ever, likes to bite the papers and make them a mess and i'm now feeding him dried stuff which the shop owners said its suppose to be good for their internal system. But one thing, i must complain, its their poo which can be quite smelly most of the time.

Since CNY is down the corner, every family will be throwing away stuff and preparing for the new year to come. Me too, i'll be doing my own housekeeping in my own room and finish them before the CNY comes...

Ok, thats my rambling, i'd better get started on my spring cleaning...

Maeklong Station Railway Market & Floating Market Bangkok

My frens and i went to Bangkok for the New Year Countdown. And of course, we took this opportunity to shop till we drop as well. I didn't know Platinium Mall was that nice to shop in on level 4. So if you're a guy and you love shopping, better pop yourself up at Platinium Mall at level 4 for some shopping frenzy. I spent at about S$800++ for this trip but hotel accommodation was taken care of, so that is one amount i could use and spend on. The exchange rate was pretty favourable to SIN dollars and hence, clothes there was damn cheap.. All in all, i bought about 10 over pieces of long sleeve shirts, pants and bermudas as well, on average, the shirts was about $10 dollars and it was that cheap!

Other than shopping and more shopping, we went on a tour on our 2nd day in Bangkok. Went to Maeklong Station Railway market near the Authentic Floating Market. You can see alot of foreigners there waiting to take a pix of the locals keeping their produces when the train is coming their way. It is very unique and i think this is the only one you can see here in Bangkok that keeps such tradition here. I must say it was a eye opener for me, seeing the owners keeping their produces and then bringing them out once the train leaves. And its not once a day, its a few times a day, i think it has become a routine for the locals here, that they didn't feel anything at all for now.

Next, we went over to the nearby floating market, this i've been already but since my other 2 frens have not been there, i followed them. All seems the same to me as before when i visited them a few years ago.

Find your local travel agents for the above tours, it really worth the money and you can't find this in Singapore as well!

Xmas was a nice affair

Mine was a nice affair this X'mas. I celebrated with my good frens and my Christian family as well. There was always plenty of eating, drinking and merrying as well. Me and my frens went to Holland Village for a X'mas Eve celebration, you don't have a big crowd like those in Orchard where its mountain of people struggling to get here and there. We decided to have our little celebration down at HV for a night out and fun with one another.

We wanted to try Time-out, but it was very full and hence, we decided to try Tango. But before that, we had our dinner at one of those nice little boutique Mexican restaurant down the lane. You can just eat your dinner and then party away just down the lane, thats what i like, efficient and nice, don't have to walk or take a cab to get to another place!

All in all, we spent aboiut $60 ++ for our dinner and then we went over next door which was NYC, very nice atmosphere and nice attentive staff as well, we ordered three cakes to share and each a ice-tea as well which was selling at $1/- ea. We ate, laugh, chatted and at last decided to head out and back to our Tango place for a nice drink before we head back home. By then, people were filling in and luckily, we had a table for us. We ordered some really hot tango chicken wings and each got ourselves a pint of Hoegarden beer to celebrate the oncoming of X'mas. At last, X'mas came and like all others did our CHEERS...!

On X'mas day, i celebrated it with my christian families, we had service, prayer meeting and then makan and then gift exchange. We had Pizzas ordered this year and 10 boxes as much as that, it was finished as well! Finally, it was our gift exchange, i got a nice box of biscuits this year... In the night, my fren organised a makan session at her place at Bukit Batok. I drove my bike there and arrived at around 7pm. She fed us with Bak Kut Tea and although it wasn't very strong for the taste, it was quite alright. Thanks for my frens this year celebrating with me!

Porter International Tote Dark Blue

Merry X'mas Everybody here on the world wide web....

X'mas is tomorrow and everybody around me is quite excited as they rush here and there, trying to buy their last minute X'mas presents for their love ones and etc... For me, we've already done that, eaten our Turkey and Ham and opened my presents as well... I guess its a time of sharing and giving rather than receiving it, this year is my first year with my new company and the lady boss was quite generous, gave us each a ang bao or red packet of $20 each. First time, i received a $20 ang bao during X'mas, nice...

The group of us went to see the Movie : Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol, this movie really keeps you in suspense, especially in Dubai where Nathan was forced to get out and climb the highest hotel there to achieve their mission. Nice Movie, must watch if you haven't, folks!

Tomorrow will be another celebration, this time round with my Christian families. We are gonna eat, drink and be merry. And of course, gift exchange!

I again went to the Wisma Atria outlet and bought this Tote Dark Blue for a X'mas present for myself. I think i'm a crazy Porter Fan, i told the sales girl, i seem to have all their collection now... Be it a sling bag, haversack or a Tote....:P This tote has a very big space compartment inside it, i usually bring alot of things out so this bag is very handy and useful to me! You know what's in my bag: A Espirit umbrella, my Burberry Wallet, Ipad 2, Taiga Louis Vuitton Key pouch, sweater, soul earpiece and lastly my Iphone... So there you have it, all my accessories that i need to bring out these days! There are a few small compartments inside as well, i use those to keep my smaller pieces of accessories like my Taiga LV key pouch, my iphone and etc...

MRT Singapore unpredictable like the weather!

Aiyo, you cannot imagine how frustrated i was! I think all those trapped down in the tunnel's fate was worse than mine, having trapped underneath for an hour without air-con and total darkness, really sent those creeps down your spine. I was intending to travel from Bugis MRT to Orchard for an evening appointment, when i was at the train station, the officers at the train station displayed the sign that the service has stopped for that particular line and hence, i was forced to take the public bus into Orchard. What a disappointment again when i encountered the bus queueing up behind each other again along the whole stretch of Orchard road. It was like crawling at every bus stop, i guess everybody was going onto the buses to get to their destination and hence the delay.

After that Thursday, i then heard again the MRT lines being delayed again a few times. Now i really dread taking the MRT and then again, there is the MRT fare hikes, how is it gonna prove and justify that its worth every penny of the consumers to pay and take the MRT. At least, i think the service of the circle lines aren't affected that badly.

Today, i'm gonna give the MRT a chance again and take it, i hope it'll be alright, i couldn't take my motorbike as it was raining heavily these days, i had to dorn on my rain coat to get out riding, lazy to do that.... rather take the train and be done with it.

My pre-X'mas BBQ at the Pasir Ris was a fun one, it rained heavily as well yesterday, but we celebrated it with a blast and it was fun, meeting old frens and getting re-aquainted again... Lucky for us, the rain stopped just in time and we were able to enjoy a cool evening BBQing.. Had our gift exchange as well, i had a multiple changing pen, it came with blue, red and a mechanical pencil all in one. But the red colour pen wasn't working well, the ink doesn't flow out and not smooth as well....:(

Okay, i shall end my post here....:P

Porter International Backpack

I remember that i told myself never to get or into backpacks again, but here i am, eating back my words and into backpacks again...:P

Its this deep blue porter backpack that has stolen my heart once more. I like it because its versatile coz when you are buying stuff you can still use the side short handles to hold it and when your tired, you can change it to a backpack and hence, quite versatile, i like these kind of bags... inside its roomy hence i'm planning to bring it down for my bangkok trip and India trip next year, i think it can contain all my beloved things in one bag and i'll just carry another smaller bag to put my passports, wallet etc...

The porter boutique shop at Wisma Atria only came in 2 bags and hence, this was the last piece available on the shelf, i checked the quality and bought it. It was a whopping $419 sin dollars, but i think its worth every penny, considering the nice workmanship of the bag and craftsmanship as well. I just hope its lasting...

Okay, another porter bag added into my collection, boy am i a Porter Fans....:P

Soul by Ludacris L49 Earphones

I just bought this Soul by Ludacris. SL49. This is the other model of their series or should i say the cheaper model that i got, i knew i wanted to have a set of better earphones and i was eyeing the monster beats edition, but they didn't have stock and so i bought this instead.

Happy that i had this earphone although the only setback was that it was in black... but its okay, i'll live with it...:P

那些年，我們一起追的女孩 - was a funny movie about a group of taiwanese boys falling in love with a gal in their class. They went thru' the school days together and all of them fell in love with this gal from their same class. Quite clever and good in her results won all the guys attention but this one guy whom this gal likes in particular wasn't very bright and didn't pay much attention in the class, hence the gal decided to give him tuition classes and etc...

He came in with good grades and got his postings to a local university and was separated from the gal. Later both of them broke up and their love relationship ended. I didn't felt that it has a good story line, can be quite offensive, rude and X rated as well for some of their parts in the movie.

Guy is seen naked with his ass to the screen and i think it has to be X-rated though, not suitable for young viewers. However, if you are mature enough, it can bring some laughter and joy while watching it. But beware it can be quite offensive...

Porter Karmel & brown Shoulder Bag

I was really lucky to be able to get this limited edition Block series Porter Shoulder bag which comes in two colours of Karmel and Brown and Green and Navy. But i preferred the Karmel series which is easier to match with clothings and it seems to be the "in" color for this season as well.

I saw quite a few youngsters grabbing this colour series in their other design as well but this block design that came out latest stole my heart and i decided that i must get one as well. I took it as a early X'mas present for myself and decided to award myself this way so that i don't feel so guilty...haha..:P

Bidor & Penang Part 2

It was fun throughout our Bidor and Penang trip. We set out having breakfast on the Saturday morning before we head out to Penang, it was just a mere 3 hours drive from Bidor. My fren owns a sedan car and we hopped on and never looked back.

Penang is still the same when i visited it many years ago, that time, i stayed in the Church building and never stayed at a hotel before. This time round, i'm actually having a complimentary room at the Cititel Hotel which was quite ok with spacious room, clean toilet facilities and a very big reception hall as well. We visited a few places of interest like the Kek Lop Si, other temples and Penang Hill as well. It brought back fond memories for me as i've visited them before.

We also went over to Hard Rock Cafe Penang which was situated at Batu Ferringii beach and even with the driving, it was really very far out of town area, i guess customers coming to this area would normally stay in the resort and beach area and not venture out at all... So we were quite happy with our present hotel stay.

Finally, the crack of dawn came and we got ready to check-out and had breakfast at their restaurant. I must say, i am quite impressed with the food and all. It came with Japanese, Korean, the local food like Chee Chong Fun, Dim Sum, Roti Prata and even for vegetarian as well and many more...

Next, shopping time, we spent some time at the Queens Bay Shopping Mall, nice big shopping mall which i came before in my earlier years. The mood is different this time round, i really had the shopping bug inside me to buy the clothes and etc...
I bought clothes from Espirit and Padini - Seed brand as well. I rejoined Espirit's member again and for the Padini brand, i bought 6 pcs which cost me below $20 which was having a 70% discount for its members, luckily, my fren brought his member card and we happily used it to the max....

Time to go home, we stopped by for some really good Ipoh white chicken and noodles and it was really good, we reached around 8pm and we packed and bathed and ready to be fetched to the bus stop and head back to Singapore. This trip was the most rush trip that i ever had, i hope there aren't anymore such rush trips, i want a relaxing pace trip next time...

Suddenly, i felt like i lost something very important!!!!

I'm supposed to go and attend a Natas Sales Launch this coming Friday and bring down a cheque, however, my accounts told me that my boss has held back the cheque. On enquiring with him, i discovered that he didn't want to do this time round.

I guess so that the profits aren't enough to cover the expenses done to keep with this fair and hence, he decided not to do it. I must salute and admire his determination not to do it and courage as well, how will he face his peers and industry as well. I think it all boils down to KPIs, he is trying his best to keep the company afloat and healthy and if we were to keep on running this Natas, we are gonna keep on losing money.

This was my first time organising a Natas Fair on my own for the previous Aug 2011 fair. It was pretty pressuring and after the booth setup came up and according to what you had in mind, you kinda let go a big stone off your chest. I guess this always happens when one is facing a challenge in his/her life and once completed, you'll feel great and happy. That was exactly how i felt when i did my previous Natas.

Now its gone i think, i felt like i lost something. I had been doing Natas like my past 5 years of working, i mean i should be happy not doing it anymore, no more stress, extra work.

Ok, just wanna vent our my frustrations...

Bidor and Penang part 1

You know what i know about Penang or for most tourist infact? I think mostly know about Penang, because its a food paradise just like some of its regional countries like Hong Kong, etc.. We had Assam Penang Laksa, Cha Kuay Teow, etc... I still couldn't get used to Assam Penang Laksa, its abit sour cum spicy and hence, i still prefer the Singapore style ones where its only spicy and salty.

We were departing from Bidor, part of Perak state and my dear fren's parents are selling and doing pork business, they kill, roast and then sell them in parts at the dry market area and they have a stream of customers buying from them. My fren had a packet of roasted pork for us and it was delicious and crispy, i guess it must be very fresh. We had Yong Tau Foo which complimented the roasted pork as it was a bit salty as well, hence the soup base was a relief and helped to wash down the salty taste of the roasted pork.

Said hello to his parents and on we went for our road trip to Penang. On the way back, we also went by Ipoh to try the famous Bean sprout chicken. My fren highly recommended this place for us and insisted to try this dishes when we were there. It was delicious especially the chicken pieces were tender and smooth. Instead of rice, we had like this Kuay Teow thing, it was very good and i like their soup base, very sweet in fact.

Burberry Haymarket Checked Messenger Bag

I bought another Haymarket Checked Messenger Burberry Bag. I think this will be my last craving for branded bags for now. I don't know it seems like the more stressed i get, the more i want to buy things to vent out my frustrations and emotions bottled inside me.

But i must admit i did have my eyes fixed on this bag for some time already, so the above statement has only some truths in it...:P I'm also treating this as my birthday present for this year, i think i worked very hard this year and hence, i should get something to reward myself.

I just came back from a rush rush holiday up Bidor, a small town part of Perak. I left on a Friday night and reached there at about 5am. My fren's mum came to fetch us and we slept again and the next day, we were on our own road trip driving around 3hours to Penang.

Ok, i'll update more on my next post, damn tired now...

One Day Movie

I tried to cry, i really, i promised but the tears just didn't well or swell in my eyeballs when i saw Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. Anne Hathaway was killed in a accident when they were happily settling in and trying for a baby when that horrible accident happened. The truck just came and knocked her down just like that.

Both Anne and Jim met each other during a graduation of their uni days and ever since on the 15th JUl for 20 years, they saw each others ups and downs. There were sorrows, happiness in their lives and every year on that date, they will unite somehow be it on the phone or met each other, they will pour their souls out for one another, but didn't come together as a couple only in the recent years.

It was moving and touching but i kinda see a story line behind the whole drama here. If you really love that someone, you have to go on and catch it, its like waiting for the train to arrive, you missed it, you wait at the platform, thinking you could catch another train, but actually, the one that you've missed is the last and you'll wait and wait and it'll never come again..

oh, how silly of them, that they weren't together on the onset, that would have been great and maybe Anne didn't have to die so tragically... If you want a movie that will move you to tears, this could be the one...:P

Siri or Simi Iphone 4GS - Singapore Version

Anna Faris and Chris Evans. I must say, they hit up quite well in this movie. Although, i must say in the beginning, i felt the movie abit tat slow and boring.

But i must say this : Chris his those nice abs that anyone men will want and any gal will desire...:P He was like a few times naked till he covers his tool and so you kinda see his whole body structure but not his tool.....lol

Its about a typical gal whom is looking for her true love and decides to go back in time to look at her ex-boyfriends and sees whether they are a match for her again..... kinda sick, but here she goes again... and with the help of her neighbour - Chris Evans, they decided they were meant for one another and the story ends here.

I think i still love Bali

We were quite lucky that we didn't meet the Earthquake in Bali. The three of us were happily playing day after day and always looking forward for the nice lunch or dinner. I think we especially enjoyed our meals at Hard Rock Cafe, but i think i'll post that in a separate post. The three of us likes to take photograph of ourselves and i'm posting some of our silly pictures up for you my readers to see....:P

Especially, when it comes to happy times, times really flies and goes away fast. Just a twinkle of an eye, my 4Days Bali trip was over, just like that. Although, its gone, we hold special memories of it and i shared my pictures with my fellow frens whom went to this trip with me and now all the three of us can have that special memory and not forget it.

I think friendship can almost stay the same but not really the same as in if you work in the same company, you go lunch together, dinner at times, i guess the friendship at that time really meant alot to me, but i think life goes on and things bound to change, i decided to pursue a better prospect and my 2 friends are also enjoying their work there as well.

We might be planning another similar trips out of Singapore, but sometimes, i'm abit scared that the same situation will happen again, if you know what i mean? The bad memories seems to be overlapping my happiness whenever i thought of those unhappy times when the three of us were in the last trip. But i guess i've moved on and tried to have a broader mindset and a bigger heart to accept what has happened and i think i'm happier that way, if i kept wanting them to do what i want them to do, its gonna hurt all of us. So i guess, i'll just shut up and let go and Shalom, peace will come......LOL

The Sorcerer And The White Snake Movie

We again make a trip to JB and wanting to watch this movie entitled "The Sorcerer And The White Snake". Characters like Jet Li, Charlene Choi, Raymond Lam and many other famous stars were in it, be it for a short moment and like Jet Li, Raymond Lam and the lady White & Green Snake dominates the scene.

I like the different story line that it portrays this time round. Instead of Lady White Snake being pregnant and bore a child to her husband, she was immediately imprison by the Lai Feng Ta and the story ends here. Though i felt heard pain to see Lady White Snake not able to be with her husband, but at least, her husband is able to remember who she is and the sufferings that she has gone thru'. On Lady White Snake's part, she did had her fleeting short moments to be with her husband the last time before she is imprisoned.

My gf cried when she saw those moving scenes, i wanted to cry but tears just couldn't swell in my eyes....:P I thought i could also feel the pain that the in love pair wasn't able to be together always but i guess its the moments that they were together and they cherished that was more important.

When will i have those kind of luck and chance to fall in love....:( IF you like to see action packed, this is a movie to go and watch with your gf or bf!

Real Steel Movie

Brilliant...........shouted by Charlie aka Jack Hughman.

Hmmm, i kinda of liked his movies or whatever he was acting in. He really can bring out the soul of that character out and present it in the big screen. This movie entitled "Real Steel" is just one of them which he has acted in.

I couldn't find anything bad about the whole movie, except i was just glued to my seat the whole time even when i wanted to go to the loo coz i drank too much soda earlier on. I was like the whole time shouting and screaming inside me saying "Oh Shit" all the way when i see those robots being slammed dunk and their moves are really incredible, i guess Steven Speilberg really did it again.

And oh, yes, the story line was perfect as well, i like the story of this movie, it was touching and full of action pack as well. The kid played a good part as well and teamed well with Charlie his dad. At the end of the day, the two pairs up and fights Zeus in the ring and wins the battle...

If you have a family, go with them, they'll enjoy it just like i did...

Porter International Messenger Bag, my love...

I'm so gonna brag about my birthday celebration, so folks hang on there - OK? ... :P

Firstly, of course there is makan session which we all chip in, this group i hang out with, will share out the cost of the meal be it whoever's birthday. This time round, they chose Brozeit German Restaurant and Bar for my birthday Celebration, had a cake from Bakerzin, a nice cheese chocolate cake too as well.

We had loads of photos taken as well during that night, we laughed, joked and had alot of fun, from the photos, you'll be able to see them. No birthday is complete of course, here comes along the presents. I had that present chosen when i was shopping the other day with my frens in Wisma Orchard. It costs $359 per bag and its in dark blue in colour, when one buys that, it will also come with their Porter Figurine. Its a boy porter with a porter bag and his cap is magnetic, hence you can shift it anyway, its quite neat though.. I took some pictures of my presents, which you'll see as well.

Swarovski Pen was the other gift which i collected this year from my dearest girlfriend, i think this fren of mine bought in on the plane as she flies often. Another girlfriend gave me a Iphone 4 cover, its book cover, where you can flip it to one side, she bought it while she was in JB shopping, thats what she told me, but i like it anyway...however, i need to get a back cover so that it doesn't damage the back of my iphone because there is no protection, you stick it on and when you remove it, it'll kinda damage the back of your iphone, was what my girlfriend suggested to me as she had one herself.

That was how i spent my birthday this year, with a big group of good frens, what can i ask for, am i rite???? Thank you all....

October is here

Finally, its October and again, its gonna be year-end very very soon and sooner than one can expect... The phrase time and tide waits for no men is so true these days especially, nearing the year-end. So many unfinished business to attend to, so many commitments untouched and the list goes on and on...

But on a happier note, my birthday is coming, it falls on the 4th October Tuesday, so my fans, if you like to congratulate me, kindly leave a message on my side bar, it will be very much appreciated...:P

This year's birthday, my ex-colleagues gonna help celebrate for me. If i'm not wrong, its in a German Restaurant Bar, i guess a cake will be there and a singing of the birthday song shall be the norm and of course, there is the birthday present, i'm hoping it'll be something useful...:P We'll see...

This month is gonna be a tight month for me, alot of deadlines to meet and i'm presently covering two portfolios in my present new company and i hope i'll be able to manage it. The other boss is really demanding and seeming to suck my blood and making me work extra hard, sometimes, it is so hard trying to understand this boss of mine but my other boss is rather fine...

Louis Vuitton Taiga Key Pouch

I bought myself this two luxury items at our local DFS store. One is a Louis Vuitton Taiga Key Pouch which i absolutely adore. I think it came in two colours, but i only managed to get it in lighter shade. I like it slim and not fat even with coins, very suitable for me when i go partying and want to just bring a slim pouch along and not a wallet. I can put in about 2 credit cards with my EZ link card as well. Put in my house keys and i'm set to go for my partying all night long... This is one luxury item which i've been longing for although it doesn't come with the TA discount that i usually get when i shop in DFS like 20% discount. But for the below item, i got it off 20% discount and it was really worth it... There are some items like LV, Prada, Gucci that doesn't allow for TA discount and hence, i don't really shop for them here in DFS.

My birthday is near the corner, my best fren wanted to buy me something, we looked at DFS, i saw another Burberry Haymarket Check Messenger Bag and immediately knew what i wanted, but at a look at the price, i don't really think my fren could afford that, too expensive, i also paiseh that he will ever buy it coz my present to him was less than $200 dollars. This messenger bag cost about $1k++. We shop around and then i had an idea, maybe, i should try Porter International, they have really nice bags there too. So off, we went, i saw another messenger bag which was quite nice selling at $359. Now, thats more like it, after that, we walked on and decided to hold back buying the bag and wait for another fren of mine whom will be returning from Bidor and ask whether he wants to chip in and share the cost of the bag with my best fren.

This morning, my fren whatsapp me telling me that he thinks that my fren maybe will be facing no money situation and told me that he will chip in for my present at $200, he advised me to use this money and pay for the luxury item - Burberry Messenger Bag which is more worth than the Porter International Messenger Bag. I was in awed or should i say shock, really didn't know what to say, should i be happy or sad or angry, i really couldn't find the emotional side of me to react to this situation. He asked me how i feel about the whole situation, i lied to him, i told him to get me a box of chocolate instead...

Libras are so emotional and senseless and silly at times, i really wanted the bag but something is holding me back...i didn't know what...:( Lets hope the week building up to my Birthday will get better day by day...:P

White Rose, Bali, Indonesia

We stayed here for 2nites in a row in this hotel. My frens and i always spoke of it as White Orchid, as in the one in Chinatown in Bangkok. You see, it sounds rather the same, white orchid and white rose. That was one joke we shared amongst us three and it was fun.

It was during one of the morning that we decided to wake up early and have a dip in the pool before returning to the restaurant for our breakfast. We had everything planned out and proceeded for a early morning swim and there wasn't anyone at all, just the three of us. We swam, laughed and joked and had a swelling good time swimming around in the pool here.

We managed to take some photos as well to save some memory of our trip here in White Rose, Bali. However, i guess the only disappointment i had was that one have to access a common room before you reach your door and into your room. I didn't like that kind of concept, it felt like an apartment style living and if Singaporeans go, surely come back will complain...:P

However, location wise was ok so far. You just have to walk a 5mins and you are out into Legian street where the night life is funky and happening, restaurants, bars, shopping, souvenirs, all within reach.

But since it was free for us, we didn't cared much and we tried to make our stay here comfortable and we did it. Anyway, thank you White Rose for making our stay memorable...

Johnny English Reborn Movie

This movie about this silly guy or undercover cop was wanted back by MI7 to complete a task which the higher management thinks that Johnny English will be able to handle.

He was able to turn the unfavourable situation towards him and able to proof his trust-worthy but there are definitely humorous moments where you just couldn't hold your laughter at all, seeing his acts together really makes me think back his popular Mr Bean shows, if you've seen one.

It has a nice story line building up to where everything was going the wrong way but he managed to turn it around like always, if you have seen his other movies. But i especially like it when he tries to hit the Queen whom he thought was the bad guy imposing the Queen and trying to silence and kill him.

If you haven't watched it yet, bring your family along, they will enjoy it...

Curry Song by Mr Brown

I luv curry, do you? Almost all of my ang mo frens luv curry, its full of yummy spices, i like mine abit salty and hot. I prefer it over my hot steaming white rice and you know curry can be cooked with vegetables or any kind of meat that you prefer, even with fish as well.

I attended a seminar and they were talking about this curry song which was created by Mr Brown, it all happened that the mainland chinese were also living in HDB flats and their neighbours were cooking curry and they quarreled and they even got the authorities to come in to settle their domestic feuds. What i heard, the neighbour when cooking curry will have to close his windows from then on, what a shame, curry must be cooked and letting the aroma floating around....:O

I luv Bali or I hate Bali

My holidays in Bali didn't go pretty well. I went with three of my best mates and i think i've lost one of them. I couldn't believe my ears when one of my closest fren said that on the last day that he do not have any words to talk to me. When we were at the Bali airport and at the departure area, we were seating separately at first and then my fren had a empty seat and he went quickly to seat beside my other fren but when there were more seats available, these 2 frens didn't call me to come over and when i saw it and i quickly came over and commented to both of them, "what frens, didn't call me when there were empty seats?", and thus i didn't expect such a reply from the above and it really hurts me alot.

One of my fren shared with me that she didn't have faith in frens anymore, they tend to tear you apart and hurt you even more, i felt like that in that instance, i long for escape or hide somewhere or go back home to ease that tension that is built up at that moment, but i had no where else to hide or escape and so i chose to run away and be by myself alone and breath and think and relax after hearing such words from my closest fren and if you are thinking which one, he is the one with the sunglasses on.

Give you all abit on the history background of my close fren here. He is from Segamat, Malaysia and he come to work and started off doing a counter staff in one of the bigger travel agency and also from time to time leading tour groups as well. He is very well versed in China as he is seen leading them most of the time and of course he comes from the China Department. I came to know my fren, lets give him a name - "S". S then came to work for my ex-company that i came from and was working for the Mice division. I was in the Product division and we started to become frens along the way. Then he and a few of my frens celebrated for me when i left my previous company and now i'm here in the new company, however, we still stay in touch, having dinners, going for movies and stuff like that.

So from what everyone can see here and even for our frens whom we see from time to time, we were really i think close frens and being close frens do not mean we don't quarrel with one another, we do that at times but we patch up and move on and i think we became closer. However, with the above episode, its far different with the other quarrels that we have, i guess petty ones but this time round, i felt we were drifting apart - i mean our friendship, probably becoz we don't see each other quite that often or like my other fren whom lunches and even have dinner together with him as well and also they see each other off at the same train station as well, i can really see their friendship growing while mine was deteriorating. I felt a hinge of sadness and envy.

I really do not know how to continue writing this blog of mine, i'm really going thru the depression stage and moody as well. We took alot of pictures as well, i think about 500 pcs in total and i couldn't find the mood to upload it into facebook as well, i don't know what has become of me? To think that i view his friendship that importantly and now, i felt like i'm cheated as well. You see my trip was a free 3D2N trip which i won during a seminar and of course i asked these 2 good and close frens to come along, we extended 1 more night and we stayed in Hard Rock Hotel which was also free too. All in all, we only spent on our airtickets, food and souvenirs, i spent about S$600 and below. To think that i have asked them to come along and these were their first time coming to Bali, i felt like i've given my all and they just took and took and now after the trip, they didn't appreciate it and so on...

Maybe, i've been too petty coz i've asked them to speak in chinese when both of them were seen talking in cantonese as i can understand but i couldn't speak well, was i too demanding and controlling? These close of mine kept saying that once after a trip, its either you split up or you become closer and kneaded together, he kept reminding me and i guess it really happened!!!

Oh, i felt good writing it down and thank you all for your concerns...Its not the end of the world, there were many many different things for me to look forward to and i'm not giving up...:P

Fish and Co, Birthday Celebration

Its my 2 of fren's birthday and we again celebrated in style, this time at this Fish and Co beside Park Mall which was just a few minutes walk from my office. So many of my frens are celebrating their birthdays in these months, all the way until NOV. I thought it was the usual eat and sing Happy Birthday song affair, but it proved me wrong.

The waiter and waitress there are bubbly, nice and kind and they just came over to our every request and demand. When it was our turn to sing and bring out the birthday cake, they asked the 2 guys to stand on the chair and they sang their own version of the Happy Birthday Song to both of them. It was fun and everyone's mood was instantly lifted and we enjoyed ourselves alot.

Mid Autumn Festival

Tomorrow is the Mid-Autumn Festival and if you are still a child, you'll definitely be fascinated coz your parents will buy you lanterns which you can carry around when the night comes. My parents used to buy us these paper lanterns where you insert in a candle and pull up the paper lantern and there you go. But those are my younger days, these days, you don't see me carrying lanterns coz its for the kids. These days, you can see different types of lanterns where children be so pampered these days. It even comes in battery operated ones and with music playing inside them too, i guess the kids missed out the fun of lighting your own candles and putting them into the lanterns and one has to be careful, if not, you'll end up burning them. Well, we had fun back then.

However, this time round, my frens organised a Mid-Autumn festival at Vivo City and we thoroughly enjoyed it, i contributed paper lanterns, others contributed mooncakes and candles to make it a successful and fun event. This day was a raining day since afternoon and when we came to Vivo City, it was still drizzling a bit. This didn't dampen our spirits, not a single bit, we continue to have our fun in the shelter, we lighted our lanterns, we took plenty of photos as well. Then, we ate our mooncakes and bided farewell to this place, time really flies, we took one of our fren's car and we ended up at the Marina Keppel Yacht club for some coffee and then on to Bt Timah for some night snack - Roti Planta with sugar and a cup of ice milo to go with it. For myself, i reached about 2am in the morning, but i'm glad and really did had fun in this event.

See you next year, my lanterns....

Smurfs Movie

I used to watch this TV cartoon show every weekend when i was in my childhood years. I love them alot and i'll watch them and nothing can pull me away from the TV set and i was completely glued to it.

Over the years, the cartoon show ended and today, i was really excited coz the movie people are bringing this production to the big screen. They are so cute and adorable and friendly and frankly i don't think anyone will hate them but will love their presence and happiness feeling the whole place.

However, in the midst of all the songs and happiness, there lurking in the dark is Gargamel the dark wizard ever wanting to catch the little blue smurfs and making them subject to him and of course the wizard's side kick - the cat named Azrael. Both work hand in hand trying their best to capture the little blue smurfs but of course every time they succeed, the smurfs in the end will triumph and win the battle over.

I think this is the cycle of the smurfs and the dark wizard's world and in the end the good will win over the evil one. If you are bringing your whole family along, it will be great fun when you can see the smurfs dancing, playing alone and singing as well...

H&M Singapore, Padini Concept Store JB

Were you there on 3SEPT 2011 to witness the store opening? It fell on Saturday and me and my frens had already planning to go JB for some shopping there and so i had to skip the H&M Opening, i heard it was a big thing, alot of Singaporeans actually queue there to get in and shop. It had flagship stores in China, Hongkong and now it has come to Singapore for its first store in Orchard. Actually, my working place is very near by, so maybe give it a miss now and hop down later in future.

Back to our JB trip, we hop down to JB Central and we ended up in Padini concept store. It was Hari Raya period and school holidays as well, so you can see a crowd of people here in JB. I was quite lucky as there were a queue line at the Malaysia Customs and Immigration. I remembered damn well, the last round i was here, we had to queue about 2 hours just to get in to JB. Probably, the government had some good advice from the public and they did away the system of getting your thumb prints and it really slows down the queuing process and everyone is fed-up and frustrated waiting for their turn. Now, i'll definitely go back and shop more since that stupid and silly system is done away.

I bought some really good stuff from Padini Concept Store and it only cost me RM$140 only, its not only 1 pc, but its for 4 pcs. I was indeed very happy to come for this unexpected trip with my frens and 2 of my frens also bought each 1 pc too. I think they themselves also cannot escape good discount that is now on in Padini. It was 70% off this time round and i just grab to my hearts content.

Today, i wore one of them to church and one of the ladies thought it was quite nice and smart of me...:P If you happen to be in JB, hurry down to Padini Concept store and buy not one but a few today...:P

Bally Taisten MD Messenger Bag

I'm glad i bought this messenger bag, i brought to work for my Natas when i was there. It helped contain my travel wallet, some documents which i wanted to bring along and some of the smaller things that i need to bring as well on this work assignment like my Iphone charger and stuff like that.

Starting to like this bag of mine, its sleek and slim and i guess with more usage, the leather becomes more supple and the exterior becomes better over time. I like any leather stuff and this bag is my best bet, i bought it over at the DFS counter which i had a further 20% discount over the nett value of this bag which comes to about $700++.

The inside of the bag is in cloth not leather, with a side pocket inside of it to let you compartmentalise your smaller items so you can easily found them, rather than mixing them in the bigger compartment of your bag. My current bag's colours are fading away, so this bag will be in handy to replace my current one....

My Holiday Ranting

Today is actually a new year day for all our muslim frens out there and so heres a wishing all of you out there, a Happy Holidays..

Finished my Natas fair and for those whom doesn't know, it is a consumer fair for all travels, where consumers come to this exhibition hall and buys and selects what destination suits them and there they go.. Normally, its a three days affair running from Friday to Sunday, a whole day event. Its my first time as well, designing and coming out with the entire fair and it was really hard work from me and i'm glad its over, however, come November, there will be another Malaysia fair also held at the Expo but its free, so if you're free come on down and visit and say Hi to me...OK?

I must say, life has been good for the past 3 months for me a this new company, although, i must say, the culture is really very different from the big travel agency that i come from. I handle almost everything from head to toe but i'm not regreting it, its my decision to come over and hence, i'll stick to it, no matter what. I plan to stay here for the long haul and hopefully, another 5 years down the road. I hope i can do some really exotic destinations and plan them as well for my passengers. Maybe, i'll get a chance to plan for a Europe itinerary as well, who knows...?

Drawing Show Performance in Singapore

The other day i was invited to view the above very nice and humourous performance by the Korean "Drawing Show" in Singapore Downtown East. We had a sumptous Seafood Dinner at a country club and then adjourned down to this performance.

The Drawing show was a very nice performance done by 4 artiste whom is very brilliant in their dance moves and choreography as well. But i guess making dance moves shouldn't be too difficult, the most difficult part will be making the audiences laughing at your moves which they incorporate it into their performance, makes it all the worth while to watch it.

We had the seats which were quite close to the stage and really had a good glimpse of what the performancers were doing. Go and watch them performing today...

Horrible Bosses Movie

Hahaha.... It was suppose to be hilarious and funny but this day was a moody day for me.

Sorry, guys, got to use this space to vent my frustrations. Were suppose to be going for a happy event, first off to buy me fren's birthday present which he likes, a t-shirt and pants from Zara. After, we were suppose to watch the above movie and have a good laugh and probably have a late dinner after that.

So before all the above happened, my another fren called that she was stuck at DFS coz her company did not allow her access to some discounts if she presents her name card. As she was bringing some guest whom wants to purchase some things there, they can have some huge savings which they intend to buy alot of those branded stuff from DFS. She called me and i told her, i will be at some place at 4pm this afternoon although i must admit i do pass by the station, and i'll have to walk another 10mins to DSF's frontstep. I really didn't want to do that and i told her i'll be somewhere else and probably she should call another fren of mine whom will be joining me later for the above event. He in turn told her that since i will be passing by, he will ask me whether i can do this favour for him and her.

When i heard of this, i was getting very furious and angry, i was stuck in between in this situation which i hated, i told my fren, that i replied her saying that i have a appointment and i don't think i'm up to it. But he some how got me to promise to do that for him. I got down to DFS and gave her the discount card and after a few chit chats left to their own shopping at DFS.

However, later in the day, she called saying that they were caught as the discount card was not transferrable and hence, all their receipts were taken back and we thought that they can claim back the 7% GST over at the airport for the tax refund. But too bad, they can't. Now, my fren lied to them saying that i had an urgent appointment and has to leave and quickly she told me what happened and just in case they called, i will have to say the same thing. I was both angry and didn't know what to reply her.

What i'm really afraid is that whether they will lodge a complaint to my company and OMG, what will happen? I really didn't dare to think about it for now or ban me from coming back to DFS to shop. I told my fren i'm not confirm yet at this company and i'm really crossing my fingers and hope this bad day will blow away and everything will be back to normal...

Anyway, sorry for the diversion. The show was hilarious and funny, everyone in the cinema had a good laugh though. So, if you want some good laugh, you might want to head out and see this movie, however, beware, there are some nudity involved....

Burberry Haymarket Check Travel Wallet

I've decided to purchase this Burberry Haymarket Check Travel Wallet after consideration made. I've visited the LV, Prada, Bally, Dunhill, Salvatore Ferragamo and even Montblanc but is either it doesn't carry out its signature out well or the colour that it comes with isn't what i'm looking for.

Decided to settle for the Burberry Haymarket Check Travel Wallet coz it brings out the Burberry unique checked logo out and quite noticeable as well. From one glance, people will know its burberry brand. I guess, it feels sturdy for me when i carry it and hence, i quite like the design and feel of it.

Next, i also quite like the LV brand as well, but it doesn't come in the monogram of dark blue checked, hence i decided not to get it, whats more, it costs about $1000 plus for that as well and the logo doesn't stand out much as well.

Cowboys and Aliens Movie

Danel Craig and Harrison Ford has been my all time favourite when it comes to movies and both of them played their characters really well, don't you think?

The three of us went down to see this movie last night as there weren't much things to be done, we decided to do just that, after a dinner of Mos burger, we chatted abit before we made our way to the Lido, Shaw Cineleisure.

This movie was about a group of cowboys and natives standing in the way of the Aliens whom are using the human beings as test-tubes to know their weakness and thus able to defeat them. Together, they helped one another and together, they defeated the Aliens and before the Alien's spaceship took off, it exploded...

However, my friend did complain that the movie is abit slow in the first half but it got better on the second half instalment. So, if you are up for some thrill, do go down to the cinemas and catch them before the Aliens get to them...

A quiet weekend for me

Today which is the 13th August is a rather quiet weekend for me and today happen to be a Saturday as well. I'm thinking of my past, i went thru' my farewell cut out messages that my ex-colleagues gave to me when they were so kind to organise over at one of the hotels downtown. I'm beginning to think of my current work status, whether at times, did i make the right decision to cross over and come to this new place.

New place, new colleagues, everything is new. I had time to get use to their culture and environment here. Its almost 3 months now since i joined them on 1st JUN. I hope and cross my fingers that my confirmation can be positive, really don't wish to go thru' another 3 months down the road, i hope it will be plain sailing, not much storms down the road and that i'm happy and contented. I also wish that my new company and management will also give me a rise as well. They didn't give me my pay package as i've requested and so i'm crossing my fingers that they will re-consider and top up to the amount that i had originally wanted. I think that will be a good bonus for me though.

Just last week, a fren came over from China and my frens and i took time to bring her around Singapore. We met at night at one of the bar in town called the Long Bar located in Raffles Hotel. It has a nice environment and a band performing as well, as it was also one of my fren's birthday, we had the band sing a birthday song to him as well. And of course as usual, we ended up taking some pictures of ourselves as well.

The three of us whom you all see in the above pictures, we will be going on a short trip to Bali, Indonesia and we are gonna have some fun together, gonna celebrate yet one of them's birthday too which happen to be on that actual day too. So its gonna be happy happy + happy....

Captain America The First Avenger the Movie

This year's national day came and gone as usual but my frens and i celebrated it in another way this year. We visited the Marina Sands Sky Park whom my ex-colleague has booked which costed about SIN$800++ for a night. That was a lot of money spend on the room but the view was very very nice. My frens and I really can't afford that but at least we were quite happy to catch a glimpse of the room, used the toilet ...

Another good thing while up here in Marina Sands Resort, is that we also took time to visit the Sky Park, anyone wanting to go to the Sky Park has to pay SIN$20 per person to get up there. If i don't remember wrongly, it was 57 storey up and the view was indeed breathtaking. We took a lot of pictures in the later afternoon when we were there and had many different pose there as well. It has a mirror like swimming pool up there and you can see alot of people enjoying themselves and suntanning up there too. I'll like to be a guest one day up there and enjoy myself...:P At long last, we decided to call it a day and rushed down to the food court located on level one. OMG, it was packed with people, we managed to squeeze in and had a table to ourselves, ate and we went for a movie. Below is my movie review. It was a tiring day, but it was vey well planned and i think i had many beautiful memories to go along with it too..

I was finding the movie abit boring at times but realised that the movie is really about the beginning of a super hero whom after accepted some scientific procedures and finding himself wanting to be part of the arm forces to defend the American people has moved this science doctor and he knew that this guy called steve will be doing great works indeed.

He was absolutely transformed and he fell in love with a lady agent in the course of his stinct while learning and training in the camp. He was against the enemy line and managed to destroy the enemy and found himself too embedded into the ice age and work up many many years later in the end.

Great story line, i guess it came out of the Marvel comic strip but the actors chosen to lead those roles really made the characters come to life especially the guy who played Captain America.

Celebrating my frens birthday...

it seems like yesterday, celebrating my dearest frens birthday. We planned this party a week ago and decided to hold the duo's birthday party in this stylish spanish restaurant here in Vivo City, Singapore.

The Spanish restaurant in Vivo City served some nice delicious food and we all liked the food and most importantly, i guess its the company that counts. The bill came to about $300 plus and divided by 8 of us whom were there to celebrate for them. We had a fruit tart cake which was directly opposite this Spanish restaurant. They served quite nice Fruit Tarts and came in all kind of fruits which i felt was quite healthy though...There were so much offerings that we didn't know which to get and finally we settled in the mixed fruit tart cake which we felt it would benefit everybody...and not the usual boring birthday cake you'll find in the store.

This spanish restaurant was big enough to hold all ten of us comfortably... we ate, laugh, chatted and at long last, we sang our birthday songs to our two birthday boys. I even made a little video of their party and posted above... Sorry for the poor quality, it was quite a feat to enjoy and at the same time, to be involved in the party...lol

At long last, we decided to call it a day and took some photos as well...It was fun organizing for other people though but not too often, coz my credit card is gonna break though...if you know what i mean?

Pulau Ubin Hiking Trip

My frens decided to organise a hiking down at Pulau Ubin on one hot Saturday Afternoon, they pulled me along, i wanted to say 'No' but my fren insisted me to join them, hence, i came along.

I knew its gonna be very hot so i brought along my trusty cap, actually, i thought of bringing suntan lotion, but i didn't like the oily feeling down on my skin and hence, i didn't bring any. I know its gonna be sweaty for this hiking trip and so i brought some clothes to change as Saturday we are not suppose to be wearing too casual. My attire for the hiking trip was a pair of bermudas which i bought in Hong Kong, its a canadian brand to what i know. My bright yellow t-shirt was from Bangkok. This outfit is the best coz under this hot climate, one must really know what to wear and then can shun away that heat...:P

We had a jolly good time over at the island, rented a bike and started roaming around the island itself. We even went to the wild life paradise down at Chek Jawa Wetlands. The Jejawi Tower which is 20m tall was a good climb up and tested our endurance but i thought it was a good chance not to be missed for its panoramic view of the surroundings.

After this, we ended our hiking trip and went back to mainland Singapore. I must say a big 'Thank You' to my frens whom has organised this wonderful trip and i must say i didn't regret it at all going...:P

Sea of Galilee, Ron Beach Hotel, Tiberias

Really, i had fun staying in Ron Beach Hotel in Tiberias, Israel. The sea of Galilee is just infront of my balcony and its such a nice view from my room. My colleague and i had 2 nights there and we just love it. Not far from Ron Hotel, just a 10mins walk, you can reach the town centre of Tiberias and do a little shopping there and if you want dinner, there is a whole lot of restaurants, lounges that you can rest and relax by the sea.

Each night, my colleague and i will go down to the town after our dinner and grab a drink before we adjourn back to our hotel and call it a night. You can just sit and see the locals walking by and let time slowly pass you by.

A good choice if you were in Israel, one sad thing about the place is that, its only 2 storey high and the main lounge is just direct below your room and at times, if its still early, you can see families gathering in the main lounge drinking or chatting and hence, you may hear some noises there, other than that, all is fine. One more thing, you will have to pay for internet service as internet or wifi is not free.

It comes with a swimming pool and you can also go down to the sea of Galilee to have a swim as well. The sea is cordon off till some point so you won't be swimming away from the hotel swimming area. Or you can get out of the sea and go on to the swimming pool and have a nice swim there as well.

Dun go breaking my heart movie

I absolutely love this movie. I fell in love with it when i was onboard the Singapore Airlines and watching this inflight entertainment back coming back from Istanbul. It was a boring 10hours flight back and i watched 2 more movies too as well.

Louis Koo teaming up with heart-throb Daniel Wu and of course the female actor Gao Yuan Yuan on this movie and its really nice to see this trio teaming up together. I love their professional acting and they are so into the set and there is the feeling of love in the air as if the couple is getting on together and alive.

Louis Koo is a playboy, a heart-throb, drives a nice car and have a great career but when it comes to all the beautiful gals that he meets along the way, he will have nose bleed and couldn't resist the temptation to go to bed with them all. And he meets Gao Yuan Yuan whom works the opposite building and they started communicating with one another by ways of amusing one another thru magic shows and etc...

Along the way, Gao Yuan Yuan falls in love with Louis Koo but once she founds out that Louis Koo is a playboy, she decided to keep a distance from him and at the same time, she meets Daniel Wu who is a building Architect whom has lost some career battle in life and is in the carefree mode, drinking all the time instead of doing some decent job. Daniel Wu also falls in love with Gao Yuan Yuan without her knowing and in the event, guess Gao Yuan Yuan decides to choose who?

Of course, its quite clear cut, although love can be blind, bitter-sweet, frizzy, froggy but when it comes to finding that true love of yours somewhere out there, you are gonna know it and like Daniel Wu, he decides to compete with Louis Koo and win the lady over, does it make sense to you out there???

Oh well, wish you all the best of luck in finding that true love of yours just like Daniel Wu and Gao Yuan Yuan did in the movie - Don't go breaking my heart...:P

Mango He Bag

Hello there, welcome again to my blog where i try to blog about my daily musings and also my beloved hobbies of getting bags for myself and showing off it here at my blog for everyone to take a look and maybe you'll be interested to get one yourself.

I was in Istanbul, Turkey for a business trip and i chanced about this Mango store in Taksim Square area in one of their busiest long street which told by my counter-parts an area where it never sleeps...

You basically can come here and do some shopping here, they have international and local brands, like Swatch, Benetton, Top-man and etc... and i came upon this Mango flagship store which my colleague insisted of going in and have a look. I thought that Mango stores are full of ladies buying clothes, shoes and accessories, never did i imagine that they also carry Men's line as well.

This store in Istanbul has a few stories and its sales-assistant courteous and friendly. As Turkey is in-between two continents, they can accept Lira which is their local currency or Euro and of course the US$. I wasn't sure when i saw a 50% discount on this bag which i have attached a picture of it. It was originally - $199 lira but now its only $99 lira. I quickly took this opportunity and grab it. There were a few pieces on the shelf and i chose one which looked fine and off to the cashier to pay for my purchases. Okay, enough of prices, lets talk about the bag. Its olive green and its made of buffalo leather, although the outer layer can crease and maybe can see scratches, it acts more like a casual bag for me then a office bag. But for me, i thought its nice and rugged and can act as a bag for my overseas trip since its big and roomy inside. The strap is thin though hence i thought the bag may not carry heavy stuff.

My colleague also bought some clothings which cost around $20++ lira which she also thought was a good bargain, we Asians love bargains, any time and any day. When she saw my bag, she too thought it was a good purchase for me.

The Actual Pinoy Wedding Day

This day we are finally ending our tour in Philippines and partaking in the wedding ceremony of our nice Pinoy couple. The men in our church were chosen as God fathers and women are God mothers of the bride and groom for those attending the wedding in Philippines.

It was held in a big open hall in the city area, we took the car and arrived in the open hall area. Another couple was also using the next door hall as it was a very big hall and it was divided into two big section. The wedding couple completed the whole ceremony and there was a game session as well.

I was very glad to be part of this ceremony and i think i can speak on behalf of my church mates whom went with me on this journey.

BTW, this post that i'm writing is using the free WIFI service in Turkey Perissia Hotel, a local 5star property. Hence, this post will end my journey records in Philippines and hopefully, next time i can travel to other parts of Philippines...

My business Trip

This week is gonna be a busy week for me. I'll be outstation on a biz trip from 2JUL till 22JUL. So many things to complete by this week before i leave. I'll be starting on a SIC trip in Israel and then on to Turkey. My operator in Greece didn't give us a very good price on the hosting part and hence, i proposed to my boss on just completing Israel and Turkey only this time round. My boss said to do Egypt and Greece next time.

Actually when we proposed the first round, my boss told us to pack and go immediately. BTW, the we is basically my female Mice colleague and i. She handles alot of those tailored made ones and hence, my boss decided to ask her to come with me. I'm glad too that i have a companion as well for this long trip. This is really my first time going on such a long biz trip. And so i was quite surprised that my boss gave us the green light to proceed, if i were still in my previous company, probably, i'll end up signing a bond or something in order to earn this trip OR else, there will be other contenders waiting for this opportunity to go.

Really really quite excited and didn't know what to prepare for myself for this long biz trip. Maybe, i should get some cup maggie noodles to bring along coz i'm not sure whether i can accustom to the food there. I didn't have a big luggage and i went down yesterday to buy myself a 29" Lojel Luggage in deep purple colour from OG outlet in Bugis area. The shop assistant was very polite and helpful and it even has free delivery services too. I got them to sent it to my house instead, i was quite worried how am i gonna bring it back though...:P

My Gay Friend

My AJ fren had known this guy for some time and its just recently that this AJ fren of mine opened up and although he is abit shy, he didn't want all his frens know that he is a gay. I think he struggled alot to this stage where he is trying to find his sex orientation and OMG, he is only 22 years of age. I would think that this is the age where one individual might be thinking of his sex orientation and don't know whether he likes males or females or both sex for that matter.

Maybe a bit of description of my AJ fren here, sorry, folks no photos ok. He is cute, 1.7, 22yrs old and he is from Malaysia. Initially, i thought he likes women but ever since last month things start to change for him i think. His frens told him, he seems to be abit gayish in some ways and even his colleague frens also think that he is gay.

Until recently, he is back from his Bangkok trip, he told me that he has been to those boy boy & girl girl shows, he is now certain that he is a gay, well after seeing both shows, he is more inclined to watch and enjoy the boy boy shows rather than the girl girl shows.

He told me he has some interest in this guy whom also works in the same company as he is in now. He didn't know what would be his reaction if he told this guy his feelings. He didn't want to break this relationship in whatever ways and wishes to maintain that relationship even though he does not show interest in him. He spoke to me and one of his close AJ frens and both of us told him to go ahead and express his thoughts and feelings to that guy. I guess the fear inside my AJ fren was tremendous coz its the first time he ever have to express his feelings towards a guy, his ex was a girl actually and now he has to open his mouth and express his feelings and thoughts to a guy, this is too much for him to take it, i think, from the way he expresses to me and is not very willing to do it at all.

I took the lead and told him, i'll be the courageous one and to tell this guy of his feelings and emotions, as coincidentally, both is my rather close mates so to speak. I did a conversation on the Whatsapp application on Iphone and managed to sent my messages across to him who is on a biz trip in Korea. As usual, he avoided my question, i pursued and still he didn't answer my question, he is evading i think, and deep down inside me, i think he didn't want to be involved in this kind of abnormal relationship as well. My this fren has gone thru' two heartbroken relationship which he confided in me and i thought he is such a poor soul to begin with. He is rather good-looking and handsome, comes from a humble back-ground and is from Malaysia - Segamat. I've visited his hometown before and its a rather small hometown, i must say. Okay, back to his girlfriend. First gf was if i'm not wrong schoolmates, gf would write love letters to him which i think it was quite interesting and loving as well, which until now, he still keeps it but couldn't find it as he was wanting to show me. Later he moved over to SIN to begin his career and started out as a sales assistant selling Gold, he later moved on to doing counter sales for tour agencies. So it was during this time, he found out that his long distance relationship was getting nowhere and it seems that its getting towards no feeling at all, he began to feel that they were strangers when they met again SIN when she came over to visit him. There and then, he thought he might as well end this relationship. The second gf was even more hilarious, while doing his counter sales, he has opportunities to lead tours out of SIN and during one of those trips, he got to know of this Indonesian couple whom was very caring and the couple decided to adopt my fren as their God-son. And after a few months, he was invited to stay at their house as well or should i say rent one of their rooms since he is a Malaysian and his rental space at geylang has expired. The story began when he was staying over at his God-parents house, he got to know of his God-mother's niece, whom was studying in Poly during that time. So God-mother knew that my fren is not in a relationship anymore and decided to be the matchmaker to encourage both of them to date and try out. However, there was a huge age gap but my fren decided to go and try and later on found out that this gf of his is actually dating another guy as well. He left her and until now, both of them is still staying under one roof which i thought was funny when i asked him, wasn't he embarrassed, but he said, he didn't as the relationship wasn't very deeply rooted and hence, it was easy for him to untangle and leave this triangle love mess. He since then didn't believe in relationship anymore and i think he prefers to be alone and doing things that he likes, i hope the very best for him...:p

Sorry for digressing here.... Well, where am i? Oh, yes, my this fren did not reply me on this question, i guess, both of them will have to trash it out on Monday when he returns back to office tomorrow which is Monday afternoon. For me, i kinda knew the outcome already, that this guy is not into gay relationship even though he has two uneventful ones with girls. Or maybe, he is not ready for such a relationship at all. This AJ fren of mine is 22years old and this fren of mine is 32years old, they are apart by 10 years. Oh well, who am i to judge rite? I'll leave it to them to sort it out and wishes them all the best. What would you do if you were me?

Laddaland Thai Horror Movie

I was down with my AJ frens for some excitement to see this movie entitled - Laddaland. It was actually a Thai Movie and although Singaporeans don't really understand the language, we can read the sub-titles which is really important but i think the body language and the sound effects are the ones that really did the trick for us all whom was there to watch this movie.

Movie was about this family of four whom moved from Bangkok up to Chiangmai, reason being Dad was not very happy with his in-laws whom did not appreciate or respected him at all and that made him to move his family up to Chiangmai. The Laddaland was a peaceful neighbourhood until suddenly death occurred in one of the houses near-by and then the ghost story began its way.

In the end, Dad mistakenly killed himself when he thought he killed his only son but it was too late to save himself. I felt sorry for Dad whom really loved Mum alot and both of his kids although the elder daughter was quite rebellious and i think she thought that her Dad didn't love her at all, screamed at her and forced her to go to the house of the dead in the neighbourhood just to prove that there weren't ghost around here.

If you are into horror movies, this movie can be a good scare and its a freaking two hour movie, definitely worth every penny of yours...:P

Baguio House in Philippines

Sorry for this late post guys, has been super busy lately, what with my new job, playing & fooling around over the weekends has been taking away my time for now. I think i lost too much time when i'm younger, now i'm just taking back what i've lost, i guess...:P

On the way to Baguio, we stopped by this restaurant which i've been there before when i made my first trip to Baguio. This time round, the host wanted to let the rest of them to try out the dishes here, i felt the dishes weren't that nice as the first time round, although we had somewhat different dishes this time round.

After our lunch, we wondered around the vicinity and i took some pictures. There is this area where you can pay and get like plates, kitchen utensils where you can throw at the wall to vent your frustrations, i can see alot of broken plates collected at the bottom of the wall, i guess alot of their customers come and vent and eat as well...

We were on our way again as it took a few hours just to get to Baguio city, by then, it was already dusk when we arrived to the cool climates of Baguio city, one has to drive up this mountain top area before one can get to Baguio city. We quickly unloaded and proceeded to Baguio City Mall the largest mall here in the city and you really can feel the Christmas spirit around here, alot of the customers buying gifts, shopping and dinning as well. We looked around for a restaurant where it can contain all of us and we ended up at Chow Chow Restaurant, somewhat like a chinese restaurant serving chinese food. We had our fill and next, we proceeded to check-in to our nights accommodation - a local Baguio House where the owner has converted it into a lodging place for travelers to stay in. Basically, it has all its normal amenities, it didn't need an air-con, coz the air during this time, is pretty cold already.

I practiced my shots in the house using some candles, red apples. I used my 50mm canon lens to practice those shots, i must say, i quite like my artistic shots though...:P

City Square, Johor Bahru, Malaysia

My two ex-colleagues of mine decided to go City Square, JB for facial at a place called Lydia Skin Care Centre. They have a branch in SIN but my colleague said to try the JB side, maybe it'll be cheaper because the exchange rate is quite favourable to us. I was in the mood for facial, so i joined them too.

I left work at around 1.30pm and got home at about 2pm, wash up and took the feeder bus and reached the Woodlands Check point at about 3pm, but my 2 frens were caught in the jam and reached at about 3plus. We proceeded to clear the customs for Singapore and when we reached Malaysia side, we were very very surprised and angry. The human jam was so bad at the Malaysia side and we cleared customs and reached City Square at about 6pm. Can you imagine the time we lost which we could have used it to do more shopping and thus improving the economy of Malaysia...:(

But anyways, we were quite lucky, when we reached Lydia Skin Care Centre, we happen to be able to make it for the 1hour normal facial treatment which only cost us RM95, all three of us jumped on the band-wagon and soon we were lying on the facial bed and having our face cleansed. I must say the ladies there are pretty professional and not pushy too, where some skin centre can be pushy asking their customers to use their product and stuff like that. My facial lady had the smoothest hands i've ever felt before, like a pair of baby hands washing and pampering my face. But it soon ended, coz the next part of the facial which i hated most is using their special facial equipments and poking the pores of your skin and digging out those impurities out of your face area like your T-zone etc... Mine was quite bad as just one time is not able to remove all the impurities and hence recommended to come back again to try their RM155 serum facial treatment, which i will come and try next month. After the facial, when i went back home i could feel the tenderness of my face again without those impurities but this feeling will disappear sooner or later coz the impurities will set in again...:( I'm a lazy person and i only maintain my face just washing it, hence some of the face impurities cannot be removed by just washing your face but you'll need to visit the Facial Skin Centre to get it removed or cleansed.

After the facial treatment, we went down to level one where we ate our lunch cum dinner coz we didn't had the time to eat our lunch as we rushed to cross the border and got stuck in the human jam which we will remember forever in our memory....:P We ate at this restaurant called Jim Gary Restaurant, something similar to the 茶餐厅 in Hong Kong, where they serve in-expensive local Hong Kong cuisines. I had Shanghainese beef noodle soup with prickles, which is quite saltish to me but i managed to finish my bowl of noodles as there weren't much of it, my other fren order the same as me but pork instead of beef and the other fren ordered Korean Hotpot rice, which seems delicious to me, i'll try that someday when i come back here, maybe for my next facial appointment... My noodle cost me RM7+ and my drink if i'm not wrong RM5+ and hence together it will cost me below RM15... after the exchange rate, i think that was quite a good and very affordable meal to me.

We proceeded to do some shopping before we adjorned back the ice-cream store called Baskin and Robins. My frens bought some stuff here at the mall and i bought a pair of red flip-flops which cost me RM14.90 which i quite like it for normal usage, i'm into these cute flip-flops and since its quite cheap, i had to get it back home... We had ice-cream at Baskin and Robins and at the last minute decided to watch X-men First Class which shows at 9.50pm, i like it when we are spontaneous and didn't think much and grab our tickets to watch it, no planning, just do it...:P

X-Men First Class was about how X-Men came about, i guess their origins on how they started out with just a few of them and how they made an impact on the humans back then, i like the characters Mystic, Magneto, Professor X-Xavier came and join forces to defeat the bad guys. I like the training part as well for the X-men characters, they learn how to harness their strengths and conquer their weakness. But the sad thing is that Professor X-Xavier got a bullet from the CIA lady whom was actually aiming at the Magneto but the bullets couldn't penetrate him and it got shield away and it hit Professor X-Xavier, hence he was paralyzed from his waist down and sits on the wheel chair from then on...

The show ended at around 12, we quickly made our way across the causeway and i took my frens back to Causeway point for them to take a taxi back home coz the queue at the customs taxi stand was very very bad indeed. Thus ended our 1D JB trip, it was fun if not for the human jam, it could have been more fun i guess......:P

New Beginning, New Start...

This morning, i prayed this prayer that all will go well today and my God will bless me....

I'm kan chiong king, i'm like that when it comes to things new, fresh. I didn't had a good night sleep last night, i think i must be dreaming of my new company which i'm about to start very very soon. I don't know about you, its just me emo.....

Again yesterday, my direct boss told me to come back if the place here is not suitable, i told her flat on the face, i'll never come back to ASA Holidays. I hope i'm not wrong, i may just run back to my old work place again....

Remember when i'm young, i had an incident where my mum asked me to go to the roadside to wait for the school bus by myself, but i was scared and in the end, ran all the way back home crying...

But i'm grown up, i'll not cry, i'll be brave and face my future....

Dentist rantings

I was taking a half day off today in order for me to run some errands in the morning time. One of those errands was to visit my dentist in Yishun area, i'll spare the name's sake.

Was thinking that i could be lucky enough to go without an appointment and get a morning slot if i were to go early and guess what? I was turned down as the morning slot has been all taken up and left with the afternoon 2.30pm slot available. I didn't know that more and more people are beginning to really take care of their gums and teeth and going to their dentist for check-ups or found out that their teeth is bad and needs it to be removed.

While running my other errands, i thought i'll check out the other nearby dental clinics but also full. Its my fault and i learnt my lesson, i took their calling cards and i'll make an appointment in future to see my dentist, so seeing the dentist is on hold for now!

What a freaking morning? Should had followed my BBF idea of calling the dentist before going down and not waste fuel and parking fee, but whats done cannot be undone, i'll have to do the above in order to see my dentist, lucky it wasn't some emergency that i have to see the dentist.

Sonyas Garden, Tagaytay, Philippines

We were intrigued when we were brought to Tagaytay, it was hot but windy, with the cold winds brushing along your face while one admired the fine landscapes that this place has to offer. It was a few hours drive from Manila, Philippines, our frens in Philippines insisted to visit this nice cool place and then have lunch over here at Sonyas Garden. We first were driven to this beautiful hotel where at its back-garden, you can have a birds eye view of the sea, mountain landscape nicely presented before your eyes. We were mesmerized by the beauty of it, cool climate and nice company of course.

We took some pixs of the nice scenery here and some candid shots as well and decided to call it quits and decided its time for some good lunch at Sonya's Garden. From what i gather from my local fren, its the best in town here in Tagaytay area, every visitor whom visits here must come here for a good and healthy lunch. So why healthy, i guess once you see my above pixs you would have guessed that Sonya's Garden place is where the owner has a nice garden where one can ask for a tour of its nice garden, where they planted alot of their own vegetables, fruits and flowers. We had a little tour of their garden before we embark on our eating mission here and took some nice pix as well. I especially like their water ornaments which was placed right infront of their restaurant door-way. I think its a container carved out of stone like a bowl shape and right inside of the bowl are water and nice flower pedals decorated or should i say floating ontop of it.

On to their food in the restaurant of Sonya Garden, first we were served with their famous Salads. We just ate like its the end of the world, they just kept on bringing their veges like nobody business, we were so full with veges in our stomach that its seems like we cannot put in anymore food in. We thought that this are all we will be eating since we didn't see any main course or meat items so we kept on eating those salads as they come. Finally, the main course came, its chicken prepared with their special sauce. Very delicious but i must say, when you are full to the brim, even you serve me dragon meat, i can't take in anymore coz my stomach now is full of veges....:P

Maybe, we should be informed of it earlier that there will be main courses coming in then i think we would have gauge how much we eat on the veges and leave some room for the meat items. But its ok, we managed to squeeze in some meat items into our stomach if not it would have been wasted. After the very good lunch, we explored their cottages for their customers whom wants B&B or short stay. I like it alot, very country style living, away from the city and noise, perfect for honeymooners wanting to have their own space or a second honeymoon, you'll definitely be spoilt by them, i think they have their very own in-house spa also. I don't mind coming back for a short stay and eat healthy....:P

Hmmm, i'm beginning to drool when i think of the food and nice salads which i've tried when i was in Tagaytay...

Bally Bag

I bought a Bally Bag to reward myself after this 5 years stinct with this current company that i'm with and also start with a fresh and new look with my new bag, which finally next Tuesday (31May2011) will be my last day with them. Have taken alot of free meals or sponsored meals from all my current work place colleagues, like Korean & Fish soup mee hoon, etc... Some of them even took me to KTV joints where we sang to our hearts content.

It seems like happy moments never linger long, after those wonderful times together, finally, we have to depart and go our separate ways, just like me or anyone for that matter, to leave their current work place in search for the other side of greener pasture of grass.

I hope and pray that my new work place will have wonderful colleagues to work with, wonderful bosses to report to as well! I guess everyone whom has resigned will have the same feeling or emotions like me when they are finally nearing their time and hopping onto their next new adventure.

I pen this down here so i can have a wonderful and beautiful memory of my old colleagues and only just only remember their good....:P

Malacca, Malaysia, here i come...

The trio decided to go Malacca for a short trip on Vesak in a very spontaneous decision. We went on a Monday night because Tuesday was a public holiday, alot of our frens called us silly but hey, there is not always such an opportunity arise and one of my fren is doing counter sales and its quite hard for him to have a off day on a PH.

As usual, i did all the arrangements, bought from the online coach company in Singapore. We bought the 7.15pm coach that leaves for Malacca and for the hotel, i bought from Asia Travel.com. We stayed at the Seri Costa Resort which cost us each $32 and the coach cost each of us $45 for two-ways all in SIN dollars. That done, we got ready for our trip, we even went to Macs at Shaw Centre for a cuppa the night before, we were crazy i think...:P

We did our normal work on Monday and we quickly boarded a taxi to Key Point to exchange our coach vouchers. To our surprise, there weren't a single soul to board our coach to Malacca, it was just US trio, yeah... We arrived at about 11pm and again boarded a local taxi to our hotel which cost RM15. I was quite surprised it was quite cooling in the night though here in Malacca, after settling down into our hotel, we quickly went out for some fun before we adjourn back to our hotel. We looked around just to get to a pub or lounge but to no avail, all are for younger teens night out. We wanted something where it was quiet and peaceful where we can just hang out and talk and have fun... We finally landed at a KTV lounge where they have some seating outside under the cool air night. We had some drinks before we adjourned back to our hotel.

Seri Costa Resort was ok by far although i didn't really like the toilet flooring, rough and uneven, when you walk on it, you don't feel comfortable at all, i guess thats the only complaint that i had of this hotel, however, breakfast was ok. We woke up early and had our breakfast at the hotel and also at the same time packed up our belongings too. We left our bags at the reception and went out for photo-taking at the Red Building and shopping at the few shopping malls around our hotel. The malls were huge like the ones in Singapore but i don't see any big names like Prada, Gucci or LV over here, more of the normal brands like Bossini, Giordano, etc.... My frens were malaysians and they both luv their local brand - Padini which is some sort like our Singapore brand G2000, the pricing was about the same too but so many stripe ones though. The day was hot but the night was cool, we ended our photo-taking early coz it was really very very hot and ended up roaming in their local malls!

We had lunch at a local nonya restaurant, i luv their cuisines alot and also their desserts as well - Chendol which cost about RM70 plus for the three of us. We continued to do our shopping spree although i ended up did not purchase any items there as i was thinking i might be going to Bangkok and i'll do my shopping there but too bad, there were some last minute changes and hence, my Bangkok trip was cancelled at the last minute. That said, my two frens each bought their shirts and were quite happy from their expressions. Time was passing by us very fast and soon it was time to say good-bye to Malacca, we ate our early dinner at A&W as i was missing their famous root-beer ice-cream float and finally, we rushed to Melaka central to board our return journey coach back to Singapore at 5.15pm.

We reached Singapore at about 3 hours time and i alighted at Taman Jurong area to board my own taxi back home. It was a tiring journey coz i didn't sleep much, i guess its the company and i didn't want time to just slip us by that quickly...:P But i guess our friendship and male-bonding was strengthened, we are thinking of other short holidays, any recommendations?

Segamat, JB, Malaysia, here i come...

Sorry for the last post. Again my fren and i decided to go to my fren's place for a chill out session which happens to be his hometown in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. We decided on a 2D/1N trip and although it was abit rush, it was still fine by me, i like my trip to be spontaneous and fun and just go with the flow.

It happened on the voting day for Singapore and it was a Saturday, i went early to do my voting as there wasn't a big queue and i did mine quite fast. Quickly and steadily, i went home did all my chores like cleaning my parrots cage and ironing my clothes for the week to come. About 11am, my fren called me and informed me that he is on the way to my house to pick me up...

My fren's brother Ah Guan was also going back and hence, we had a hitch ride back to his hometown without the hassle of buying coach tickets to/fro. There was a slight jam on our way to JB custom and immigration and before long, we are eating our lunch in JB first before adjoining back on track to his hometown - Segamat, JB. This was my first time to Segamat, JB and i was really looking forward to this trip with my fren. It was another few hours before we reached his hometown but first they brought me to this Nanyang Coffee shop for a taste of their delicious coffee, but i wasn't in the mood for coffee this afternoon hence i skipped it and ordered, tea ice without the milk. They also ordered bread and it was delicious, sorry didn't take any photos of the bread, a plate of toasted and a plate of steamed ones, i think i'll miss those...:P

Right after we finished, we drove back home. Home of my fren's place was a simple down to earth nest is what it seems to me. This house housed his parents and two other siblings plus my fren and i guess it brought back fond memories for my fren and his brother. We chatted abit and decided to go for a spin in his grandmother's plot of vegetable farm. Farm was close by and we took some photos of it as well, my fren's mum quickly plucked some nice green vegetables for our dinner tonight, super healthy without those insecticides.....:P

After the wholesome dinner, we decided to go to the night bazaar but it was closed and hence, i wasn't able to take some photos of it, the group decided to end up at the Euro Fun fair, there were many rides but i didn't take any. I was just glad helping to take photos of my frens' family. My frens' brother's 5yrs old daughter enjoyed her rides alot. We then went back home after some roti-prata and ice tea without milk again. That night, as the house does not have enough space for us to sleep in, we went to his Ah Guan's new house to stay which does not have the normal amenities and so we had to bring a single bed mattress, some blankets over for a night stay.

The next morning, Ah Guan brought us out for breakfast. The above Char Siew noodle pix was taken by me - a very delicious bowl of noodle that i ever had before. The noodle is super tasty and the black tangy sweet sauce they use, i guess must be their secret recipe that continues to draw crowds in, if i stay in Segamat, i will be very tempted to go every now and then...:P

It was a horrible and terrible hot weather in Segamat. We went back to fren's house to cool off and chill-out. We didn't had any lunch though coz we were very full after the noodle, i had a Big size for the bowl of delicious noodle, even right now while i'm blogging, i'm thinking of the sauce and noodle. My fren decided to take his dad's car and drive me around old and new town of Segamat, we drove around, he showed me where Segamat was attacked by the floods earlier this year, around CNY. I guess the aftermath was terrible, but it seems that the people has put that behind and is doing their normal business as usual. We also went up to the Botanical Gardens here, my fren told me after so many years, its still the same old place, nothing has changed. Me like it here, coz its nice and not so hot under the big tree shades.

My fren met up his old school mate and we went to a nice haunt where the locals come for Ice-Kachang and Satay, again i must say the Satay was very very good, big chunks of chicken meat roasted till nice perfection over the fire skewered into a stick where the locals do that even in Singapore as well, you can find these Satays around, can be bought either in chicken, beef or even lamp meat but i must must say, its not that tasty as here though.. We bought 20 sticks, my fren was afraid we weren't able to finish it but divided by 3 of us, it was just ok. My fren doesn't take beef and hence, we ordered just chicken only. I'm sorry i didn't take any pictures, i swear i'll do that if i visit Segamat again. The locals are care-free, nice and friendly, even the Ice-kachang and Satay didn't bother to chase us for the money up front unlike in Singapore, you just take your time and finish your food and then pay-up.

We went back to pack-up and we did some silly things, while going thru' his old photos, we decided to use my DSLR Canon camera to capture the old pictures into soft copy. We had some fun doing it, my fren was delighted as well, as he is able to preserve it too. His parents were even more delighted as we took out all the old pictures and capture them into my DSLR, which i passed the whole lot to my fren to keep, i used my 50mm Canon Lens which did the job beautifully, it was as if, the subject was right before our eyes as we capture those shots. After that, we had a nice vegetarian dinner outside before we again drove our way back to Singapore. Luckily, there weren't a bad jam as we approached JB, we again had night supper around JB area before we drove thru' the customs and immigration area.

I must say i'm beginning to miss Segamat's food and nice hospitality but definitely not the hot weather here...

PS - I must thank Ah Guan & Ah Wee for a nice short getaway from Singapore and welcoming me into their hometown - SEGAMAT, JB, MALAYSIA.

Resignation rantings...

Now, as i prepare to resign from my current work place, i have a abit of mixed feeling and emotions creeping upon me almost at once when i decided to move on. Probably thats part of life, don't you think so? You feel not even the heavens fall down on you, you are sheltered and taken care of at my current work place where my AGM really takes care and shelters me all the way from 5 years ago, she helps me alot and really when there is a decision making time, i will call upon her to help me decide.

Here at my current work place, things seem to be so stagnant like nothing is ever gonna change, i can have what i want, work to me seems very natural as well and i know people so my work gets done. But is this what i want at the end of the time? My salary scale has not been up since and whenever it seems appropriate to tell my MD about giving me a raise, things crop up. Really, i can't go on like this, i tried to find a part time job, but its damn difficult, now on saturdays, i do pop by my fren's ice-cream parlour to help out but even that can't help me solve some of my current financial problems as its only on saturdays and i don't earn alot from moonlighting there.

My bosses here kept telling me to stay and stay but in my heart, i had really made up my mind to go and be independent and hopefully learn something out of it. So bosses, if you read my emo post here, here are some tips that you shouldn't be doing if you want to keep your staff back:

1) Do not, i repeat do not comment about or praise another staff in front of this current staff whom is leaving, you are talking to him to made him/her stay back and work for your firm, this is not the time of comparing him to another staff, whom has excellent track records or that because of his track records the firm is raising his salary or giving him a big office. The staff like me can feel very demoralised and discouraged and felt defeated. In heart, i was thinking, you can keep your job, i'm leaving here...lol

2) Do not, i repeat do not comment about that so and so bosses think highly of you and you think that this staff should stay because of the good comment or praises are coming from these people. Sorry, now the current staff is working his or her asses for you and not for the other bosses, please at least be polite and admit that you are in the wrong and did not trust or think highly of your current staff whom is about to leave. This can be a very very demoralising statement to made in front of the staff whom is about to leave, it seems like the other bosses are leading you on and you as the boss cannot made the decision whether this staff is competent to stay on or go?

3) Maybe is the character of my MD, but he spoke to me using less than 15mins, basically the whole conversation was asking me where i'm about to go and wishing me all the best. If he had added, if you cannot get used to the life there, my door is always open for you. I would or might have teared there and then and who knows i might stay on... If my MD had been more sincere and treated me with more humane respect, i might have stayed on... If my MD had been more gentle, i might have been moved abit and consider to stay back as well, but he didn't...lol

I don't know why, when i pen this whole emotional thing here in this post, i felt much better, to face the outside world again. But the next minute, the feeling of uncertainty just creeps and hammers me back to zero life again, that is why i hate about reality on this earth. But i guess its a choice i made in my everyday life, to treat it like always a fresh beginning or pull a long face to face my everyday life issues. But hey, they say, you only get to live life once, so be crazy, explore, live your life to the fullest and not regret it....lol

Fast and Furious 5 the movie

Vin Diesel aka Dominic Toretto star in this action packed movie called the Fast and Furious 5, movie was shot in Rio De Janerio, Brazil. It was really fast actioned and i kinda of like the story line of this movie. Packed with nice body babes, hot hunks and loads and loads of beautiful cars were being dashed out in the movie.

Toretto escaped out of the prison and was back in action and this time round to hit back on the bad guys. With his group of new found frens help, he manages to clean out the money of the bad guy and even won the friendship of the cop whom was supposed to bring him back to prison.

This story line is really about friendship and love and if you care for that person from the inside, that person will reciprocate your love and return to you ten fold....

Go watch this movie today...

Thor - Marvel

You, i repeat You.... must watch this movie. I saw it, i love it and maybe i'll watch it again...:P

So if you are like me like to watch sci-fi with a twist of magic, then this movie is a must to watch it. Packed with action of love, desolation, defeat, rebellion, brotherly love, hatred and most importantly, there is a plot to watch and get into the action as well, i was equally caught up with their action packed stunts and i must say, it is very good.

I shall not say too much here, go watch it yourself...

KSL City, JB, Malaysia

My best fren and me went over to Johor Bahru for some good time together, makan, shopping....etc. I had been here before and i persuaded my fren to come along with me coz i saw a bermudas there and i thought i will come back to get it this time round. To get to KSL city is pretty easy though, once you've cleared the JB custom, head over to JB Central. Then you hop on the local bus that shows KSL city and you are on your way there. The fee is below RM2 dollars and hence its quite cheap to hop on their local transportation. I guess, the only thing is to get the correct amount to pay them coz i don't think they can or have any spare change to give to you, unless you are feeling generous, i could use those for extra shopping though...:P

KSL city is a new shopping mall just opened in the vicinity and very near to Pelangi Shopping mall too. I think this shuttle bus also runs to the other local shopping malls, so if you are tired of one just hop on the local bus and get on to the next stop. For both of us, we decided to just stay put in one mall and enjoy the shopping there. We set off at around 5pm and we reached around 6pm, we then decided to catch a movie. This movie was called - Red Riding Hood, centering on a local gal whom has fallen for a local guy in a village where they are in the werewolf curse. Little do they know that the gal's dad is a werewolf whom wants to pass his powers down the lineage to his daughter, but daughter refuses to take over the curse of the werewolf and dad dies in the end. However, her lover got bitten by the werewolf or dad and is forever cursed, hence gal and guy forever weren't able to be together at all, that is the story line, a little bit scary other than that, the story line weak....

We ate Japanese in one of the restaurant there, here the Malaysians didn't care a single bit, it was full house when we came over to eat their dinner. We shared a bowl of Ramen, chicken rice set, hand rolls & squids too. Food was okay, but the service weren't that good though, the whole bill cost us around RM$60 plus so convert back to SIN dollars, its about $15 dollars for each of us, i guess this amount is still cheaper than SIN if we were to eat the same food.

I saw the boutique shop which i was targetting to get my bermudas, hence i knew what i wanted and quickly went to try it on, i also tried on two t-shirts as well. The bermudas cost me RM60 plus and the t-shirts was the cheapest only cost me RM$19 each. My fren wanted to get one for himself, but they didn't have his size or the colour that he liked. I was quite happy to get my hands on those bermudas and t-shirts although i must admit i already have a few of them in my cupboard, i guess retail shopping therapy is very good and shiok......:@

At last, it was time to catch our movie, when it ended, we quickly left KSL city and caught a cab back to custom. My fren lives in Potong Pasir and hence, he took the bus that will reach Bugis and i walked back to my bus-stop to catch my feeder bus home. All in all, it was a fruitful trip for me.

My 2nd interview in Singapore

I went for another interview few days ago...

I'm actually waiting for an answer though from the HR for now. I really don't know whether my interview has been accepted by the management or not? I'm really torn apart for now, don't know whether i'll get the job or not, its so unpredictable and uneasy for me now, carrying on the motion of thinking whether the management will accept me or not?

Was introduced by one of my friend whom was working in the sales side and he asked me to go this travel agent whom is located at Concorde Hotel Orchard for an interview. I was very eager and hence i went without much thought to this place for the interview, at the same time, i brought 2 of my best buddies along too to support and encourage me just in case i fail in my interview.

The interview went well, the interviewer wanted to see me again before one of their senior guys fly off in the weekend. I was again asked to come for another interview the following night. This time round, i met one of their senior management guys, quite a nice guy and we talked abit here and there. I was then asked to scan and email over my certificates and diploma over to the HR dept.

I really don't know whether i'm accepted or not? This is the first time, i was interviewed twice, i really hope i am accepted here. They are a listed company here in Singapore and are very strong in their inbound business, thus hoping to expand their company and concentrate on outbound for now... I was asked to lend my expertise in Asian countries and i hope i can contribute towards their growth and expansion also....:P

I hope the HR lady will quickly call me up to sign my appointment letter....:P

Source Code the Movie, played by Jake Gyllenhaal was my all time favourite for now movie actor. He played the guy whom was supppose to be dead in a war but was rescued but i guess semi-dead in that he is in a coma and his brains was working.

He was in and out of another person's body, trying to find out who is the real bomber whom was gonna explode both the trains. If you ask whether i will see it again, no is my answer...

But if you need a movie to chase those boredom away, this might do the trick...:P

A Pinoy Wedding

My fens were getting married late last year and sorry for the delay of the post, was quite busy with the current posting of my Taiwan trip and next it will be this pinoy's wedding pixs that will be following.

We went over to join in this couple's wedding nearing last year's X'mas time and we were all very excited and glad to be part of their wedding throngs. The wedding was held at the Gazebo Royale, Quezon city, philippines and i've never been this place at all and its my first time there. Never attended weddings that were so far away from home except those that are in Singapore. Well, there is always the first time rite?

The few of us got together to plan for this couple's wedding shower gift and it was decided to give them a holiday package down in one of those secluded islands and it was purchased from me. From what the couple's feedback, it was a nice beach getaway and a nice honeymoon too...:P

We fly in by Jetstar and arrived in the late morning, we had lunch around town area and proceeded back to our hotel for a short rest before adjoining down to town again for a nice dinner again. We had a good time for the 1st day together and we must thank the Project 6 Church and this wedding couple for their much efforts in organizing this get together with them...

Next up, i will post more pixs of the sights that we saw...

Interview for a job

Its horrible to interview for a job nowadays, it can get so unglam.....

Me was ready and up to face a interview this time round at a local hotel scene down at riverside. I saw their ads in the paper and hence i sent in a email together with my resume requesting for a interview. I received just yesterday a call from Ms L's secretary granting me a interview which i was very thrilled but didn't know that the end result was a disaster.

I put on a tie and even took out my ear-stud when i was in the taxi while approaching this particular hotel, thought to present myself professionally and was glad i reached in time before 11.30am which was the time i'm suppose to be there, i guess its a basic courtesy to be early than late which is usually my policy towards anything. Took the lift to the 4th floor and entered a department called the sales and marketing office and saw the secretary and she handed me some forms to fill up while waiting for my turn to be interviewed by the Director of Sales Ms L.

Finally, my turn was up, i saw Ms L. She was nice and friendly amongst all the HODs i've met. Although, at some point in time, she was indeed very straightforward to me. She mentioned that its a package deal, where there is a image that the hotel strikes to keep and excel in and that i might not be very suitable for this Sales Manager position although in many aspects, i've already passed her test in my skill of presentation and so on...

The image of me if you see my profile page is that i'm bald or skin-head. Inherited this from my dad and when i was in my 30 yo, i've suffered from hair dropping and plus oily scalp too. But hey, i'm not complaining here, this body is given by GOD and my parents, i'm loving it, its just that i wasn't given a opportunity to do this job because of my appearance as a bald or skin-head person, hence the disappointment.

Ms L said that if it wasn't a medical condition that i had, she would have waited for me one or two years for my hair to grow back and join her. But too bad..... However, there is one thing which i wasn't very happy in her comment to me. She said i shouldn't bang my head on the wall or blame my parents for the way i am - bald or skin-head. This i must clarify, i'm happy for who i am and although i cannot join this hotel in riverside or chinatown area, i will not die in disappointment. This disappointment came to me too often, hence i'm already immune to it for now...

Maybe, its GOD's plan that i don't join them, something better & bigger along these lines are coming in the near future, is how i comfort myself in and yes, i'm happy for who i am... thank you!

Chiufen

Chiufen was my next destination that i wanted to go to catch its magnificent sunset, hence i made my own way there, i took the sub-train and transfer to their local train service. Before long, i was there, i again transfer myself onto their local bus to travel up into Chiufen. The above sub-train, local train and even their local bus, you can always check with the ticketing office, they are really quite friendly.

It was starting to drizzle and hence, my taking of its sunset photos were spoilt. However, that did not dampen my mood, i continue walking on foot around the entire Chiufen, thru' its throngs of stores all lined inside this massive building with also throngs of tourist visiting this place. A must go if you are first timer to Taiwan and its just a few hours away from Taipei city. There are also plenty of tea-houses where you can just sit and savour some tea and cakes as well. I ordered myself a pot of fruit tea and a white chocolate cake to accompany with it. I enjoyed myself tremendously but you know at times, i do feel lonely...
Sorry, i'm feeling emo again... But i can't describe the feeling i had, i was carefree and relaxed during that time when i was in Chiufen, this little old town, from where i was seated, i could see little houses situated along the foot hills below. I think the night view here must be wonderful as well, but too bad...

Why did i say that, since this was my last night here, i wanted to do something extra like hopefully visit another place or night market. My fren introduced me the Keelung Night Market when i was online in this little tea house that i was in, although the wi-fi wasn't very good, it was lacking....but it was okay, i managed to talk to my fren whom was a taiwanese and he told me to go to Keelung Night Market since its only half an hour drive. Ok, i shall my post here...

Sunset in Danshui, Taipei

You must awed by this montage that i've put up for you readers out there, i really hope so...:P I took quite a bit of pixs in Danshui, Taipei while i did a 2 night extension over in Taipei.

I knew what i wanted and i took the long train ride into the other side of Taipei, about the end of the line if i remember correctly. I was lugging this huge camera and bag with me and there was already a crowd of people thronging around the vicinity. Danshui is famous for its ah po tie dan or quail eggs prepared in a way that they can air tight it and ready for consumption whereever you are, nice snack but not my cup of tea i must admit, its a acquired taste.

There are many shops selling sweets, souvenirs, and also my favourite - pineapple tarts. But i took my pixs first coz the sunset doesn't wait for anyone. Used my orange filters to enhance the orangy colour in the background and it turned out to have a very tasteful and full of colour of a real sunset by the sea. I especially like the shore lined up with the boasts bobbing along the waves mades a nice background for the sunset shots that i took. I realise that if you want a good sunset shot, if the background has something to show off it tends to get nicer and not just concentrating on the sun itself can really made any shot memorable and good. Try it sometime yourself.

Ok, i'll stop here......at last finished my sunset shot purpose in coming here and hence off to my little shopping...

Quote Boutique Hotel Taipei

I've been awed before when looking at so many hotels that i went when i visit and do hotel inspection. This boutique hotel called
Hotel Quote Taipei is a nice small hotel and very near the Nanjing East Road MRT station. Near by is the Brother Hotel and i usually like my hotels or accommodations accessible and near the public transportation and hence, this hotel is the best there is to bargain for.

No complaints about this boutique, whats more, you get to drink whatever that is inside your mini-bar fridge for Free.... Don't you like the idea of coming back to your hotel, just open the fridge and drink all you want, just like being at home. Of course, there is only soft drinks inside the fridge as far as i can remember, but its a plus factor for me though...:P

There is also a level where you can chill out called the home kitchen inside the hotel. This is also the place where you can have your breakfast, chat and go online too. What i like about Taipei is that internet is so accessible for tourist like me and mostly hotels here do allow their guest free internet access be it in their rooms or accessible in the lobby area. Here in the home kitchen area, you can also grab free drinks, snacks that is available at the counter, you can also grab and eat and go...

This boutique Hotel Quote will definitely be a hotel which i will come back to stay again...

Farglory Hotel Hualien

I love this
farglory hotel which is up on a hilltop in Hualien. We managed to stay up two nights in Hualine, this is the end of my outskirt hotel stay and i must stay, i'm enjoying every moment of it.

I tried to catch the sunrise the following morning, but wasn't able to, it was drizzling non-stop till the time we need to go after our breakfast, ready to catch our next itinerary to visit Ocean Park Hualien. It is also a co-owned by this farglory hotel owner. So, if you plan to stay here, you might as well, make a trip down to their Ocean Park.

I heard that alot of local and overseas producers or movie makers like to use their hotel as apartment sets as its really like living in a very big and nice bungalow or like living in a castle, so i'll let your imagination go wild.

Farglory Hotel also have indoor garden and outdoor garden as well, however, we didn't managed to see it coz it was drizzling hence, did not go and see it...

Ipad IOS 4.3 upgrade

Hi people

I'm glad i can do a little segment here in my blog post on my ipad discovery along the way. And today, i'm glad to discover that once you've updated your IOS to 4.3 into your Iphone, you are able to find this "Personal Hotspot" icon arranged under your Settings icon, thus allowing you to share your internet with another device which ages ago, you'll not be able to do it. I remember doing it when i first bought my ipad but it was a failure, called apple help care, they too can't help it!

I guess the primary reason for them to do it mainly because this will then take over customers whom are thinking of the 3G aspect of the ipad. But even apple do not release that function, people are doing the hacking or jail breaking their iphones to allow other softwares to make their debut here in the apple world. Me was really tempted to jailbreak my iphone and download the software where i can do internet tethering and allow my ipad to be able to access the internet when i don't have access in public places.

But heck, apple finally allowed this beautiful and useful thing to happen and i'm glad for them and me as well. I can now again use it more frequently and into the internet. But i guess there is always the downside of it. Internet tethering can eat up my battery life fast and i'll have to be careful with that, i don't want to end up having to sacrifice my phone to access the internet thru' my ipad.

All said, its a nice move of apple to do that, allows us users to have more reason to use my ipad with no 3g plan and not think its a waste to purchase it. I'm enjoying every moment of it, how about you?

PS - Your ipad must also download using the IOS 4.3 before you are allowed to pair your ipad with your iphone device.

OpenNet Fibre Installation, finally arrived...

at my home estate. I was posting this information in my fb and my fren who lives in Jurong had already done theirs last week. Well, i'm glad that mine is finally done up after waiting for it like ages...

With this fibre optics done up, i think internet will be like faster than anything else, i heard like when you go on youtube or watching movies online, the streaming is perfect, no lag, if you know what i mean...

Not like these shitty mobile plug-ins where internet is so lagging though...hate it most of the time, when its peak times, you can rarely go into the internet and if you do, dun ever think of going into Youtube to watch movies and stuff like that, the lagging can kill you.

Well, now with this OpenNet Fibre Optics on the way, i'll have to make a decision to choose a Internet Provider to start using the Fibre Optics. The IP here also comes with a good bundle promotion as the local IT fair is coming up pretty soon like the coming week-end. Singaporeans including me likes a good bargain, i'm sure you do as well.

So, i'm hoping that the IP here will include a Macbook Air again for a 2 years contract, that will be nice, don't you think so?

S.H.E singing group in Taiwan

This was a while ago taken by the tribal uncle doing his routine selling aboriginal dishes to his customers and we were invited to come over to enjoy, learn and explore about this particular tribe in Taiwan. I'm sorry but i just couldn't recall this tribe which we encountered here.

But i must say, the uncle here was very funny, he showed us how the lives of his tribe family go about their daily lives up here. I also attach some of the food that we ate as lunch here, deliciously done up for us and we really enjoyed those food, especially, i like the bamboo stick rice, very tasty i must say...

While exploring here, i saw this picture taken by the locals here of the singing sensation gal group - S.H.E. I know that Selina Ren while doing her acting (I have a date with Spring) suffered very serious burnts, she is the one in the middle, i do hope that she will be well very soon....

I'm already missing the tribal food there...

Promised Land Resort & Lagoon Hualien Taiwan

We were hosted in this beautiful place called Promised Land Resort & Lagoon . I must say if you are here for a short vacation and want to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, come and experience something unique to Hualien here in Taiwan. I think a short vacation would not do justice to Hualien itself but i guess Singaporeans being Singaporeans are too caught up in the rat race to give up those momentous lifestyle and pursue a short vacation is just what they want and its here they will get it and experience it as well.

I immediately fell in love with their victorian style of buildings, the little lake that surrounds the whole of their resorts, the statues that surround the vast grounds all make it very romantic and lovely to stroll around and busy with me making and weaving my own dreams. I just hope they will all come true...

We were taken on boat rides as well in their little boat which can seat comfortably 10 over pax with a lovely or handsome guide to tell you all about the resort whether by day or by night. I love the night scene, quiet and romantic.., the resort has many activities that the whole family can enjoy and ideal for a family to drive up and stay for a few nights as well from Taipei city.

What i love best is their presidential suite, i heard some president stayed here before, but other than that, i love everything there as well. I think if the resort invites me again, i'll definitely come with my family to enjoy and experience that magical experience of a lifetime again...

More of Taiwan Food

I'm loss for words, however, i'll continue to post some of the beautiful, interesting and mouth-watering pictures for all to see. Taken in a farm area and the food is taken when we were at the Promised Land Resort and Lagoon, Hualien.

This resort that our group stayed overnight is a very interesting resort where it contains all the fun element when you visit them. We tried taking the boat in their man-made lake in both night and day time to experience the fun of a motorised boat traveling on the lake with a guide onboard explaining about the resort. Many other activities are available in the resort as well, 1 thing i didn't like was that wi-fi is only at the lobby area, hence, i had to move my butt down to the lobby to get connected to their wi-fi.

Very suitable for both young and old, there is a nice water area where the children can enjoy and for the adults, there is the hotspring or spa to enjoy as well for a fee of course. There is a mini bar too for those whom can't sleep at night but want something to drink.

All in all, a nice experience, i must say, too bad, we only got to spend a night there, i'll like to spend more time at the resort at another time...

10 things about Polyclinics

I'm sick after the CNY goodies and feasting and drinking that i got sick the minute CNY holiday ends for me, took a half day leave on Monday to rest after collecting my Hong Pao from my boss. Still didn't feel very well even though i took some chinese medicine that is suppose to help clear my system but heck, i began to feel the reflux of my gastric that my Polyclinic doctor told me when i told her i had this strange attacks in my chest cavity which was new to me.

I told her could it be a heart attack, she said no... if it was, i wouldn't be standing here talking to her, now thats quite true. However, writing this post isn't about my sickness or whatever, its basically about the Polyclinic experience that i got after visiting them this morning and i thought i will pen it down for my readers and also for my future reference....

10 things about Polyclinics that you need to be aware of:

1) There are many waiting areas in the Polyclinic, so be aware of where you need to wait or else, you will be wasting precious time.

2) Look at the queue no, in order to better manage your time. I quickly went and took some breakfast and still wasn't my turn yet when i finished my pao and coffee..

3) Listen carefully. The nurses or pharmacist will call your name if you miss your number or wasn't paying attention to the number board flashing your number.

4) I had used the toilet once, and i thought its really clean and efficient.

5) My company doctor didn't wear a mask when he is seeing his patient, or never did i see him wearing one, here the doctor at Polyclinic is quite professional, wears a mask when they are talking to you and examining you as well.

6) There are queues everywhere but none at the toilet or vending machines or cafeteria, thats comforting to know.

7) Don't argue with the clinic assistants, they know best for you.

8) Just follow instructions given, don't ask why, just do it.

9) Doctor ask whether you need an MC, just nod your head and say YES...

10) Collect your medicine, pay, collect your receipt and go...

So there you have it, my experience of visiting the Polyclinic, i start at 8am and finished my rounds at 10am for $14 plus + MC for the day...

The Proposal

I know, its a movie of bygone times but heck, its the nicest and romantic movies there is for now....

If you haven't catch this movie yet, i urge you to get on your toes and get it and see it, you'll absolutely love it just like i did. Guess what, this is actually the second time i'm seeing this movie again and gosh i just love Sandra Bullock and Bryan Reynolds, they look really cute on the set as well.

A little bit of the inside story to stir my readers to go and get the video and view it yourself, grab a pillow, a bf or a gf, some friends, you'll all gonna love it, but i think the former will enjoy it, coz its romantic...

Now where do i begin with, Sandra Bullock aka Margaret is a canadian and is about to be depoted back to canada as her stay in states has been refused. She decided to marry her assistant executive - Ryan Reynolds aka Mr Andrew Payton or in her own words blackmail him to marry her so she can get her visa and continue to work in states.

Hence, love begins to bloom between her and him where it all begins with the celebration of Andrews' granny 90th birthday in Sitka - Alaska. I must say its a beautiful place just looking at the movie itself, someday, i hope i can visit this beautiful place by myself...

End of the day, Margaret decides to tell everyone of the scam at the wedding reception. There you are, i'm not gonna finish the story here, go get the video and see it for yourself...

How did u celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year?

For me, it was a quiet affair this year and maybe for the coming years as well...

My celebration for Chinese Lunar New Year is so predictable if not for me to go and start it, i think it'll boil down to me celebrating it by myself, but i got to know two new friends or colleagues whom i get to see every now and then and i thought i will ask whether they'll like to open up their house for CNY visit.

One of them is a male Taiwanese whom married a local gal here when he was seconded to SIN to work and then, fell in love and got married, we actually planned to go visiting his hometown in March, but we had those usual fairs, hence, unable to go, but his family continued ahead with the plan and they'll be gone for a week holidaying in Taiwan.

First day of Lunar New Year, i decided to visit my God-sister's mother who lives in Bishan. I have not visited her for the past year and hence visited her this year.

Second day of Lunar New Year, i went and visited my God-sister's house in Hume Ave, Bukit Timah Road, its a yearly affair between me and their family, hence its a must stop for me every CNY.

That about sums up my usual visits during CNY but like i mentioned this year, i'm gonna visit my colleague's house whom i've visited a couple of times already. His preparing a Taiwanese style steamboat dinner for us on the third day of Lunar New Year, am thinking what to bring to add on to the festive cheers to his place. Am really looking forward to it.

Lastly, another visit on the fourth day of Lunar New Year to another dear colleague of mine whom lives in Pasir Ris, it should be fun coz i've not been to her place yet.

Happy Chinese New Year 2011 Everyone

Its a new beginning of life and yet a fresh chapter for me as well this year. I'm gonna list it down here so that when i look back, it'll be fun to see what i've done and maybe in future can do it better or hopefully maintaining it.

1) I bought a Rolex Submariner Luxury watch for myself. Always wanted to own one of those babes and finally this year, i've realised my dream of owning one.

2) I moved into a new office this year. My boss decided on expansion and all the Asia product person out shifted out into this cosy nice office area. Inside this office, there will be six of us including myself and this time round, without any supervision of my boss looking over my back and commenting what i've done during office hours and etc..., feel like i'm free like a bird and do things that i want to do without someone looking over me.

3) I've told my church about the real person inside me. Its hard for me to do that but GOD gave me strength and love and i spilled those beans. I'm happy that they accepted for who i really am and is gonna support me while i struggle with this. Sorry, can't reveal this details yet and here, not comfortable to do that now.

Ok, thats about sums up everything for this beginning of the new year and nice way to start my 2011. I hope everyone here is blessed with Good Health, Prosperity and Luck for the coming CNY....

Rolex Submariner Sports Edition Watches

Hello my readers, today i'm gonna personally introduce this line of luxury watches to you!

I bought today as i was thinking about it for sometime now and decided to make the plunge and indulge myself in this line of luxury watches. Why did i decided to get this brand of luxury watches, i was actually thinking to myself that if i don't have any more spending money i will pawn it off, very typical Asian Male syndrome.

This line of luxury watches has been in the market for the longest time when i got to know about watches and i thought it was a good investment as well, i didn't want my money to be spent on some watches where it will deteriorate and die off one day like my Nautica brand watch where after around 2 years, the hour and minute hand had started to stop suddenly and when i checked with the watch shop where i bought it, they said that the watch's battery is ok, so its time to sent to the servicing company to repair it.

Oh well, i know for instance that these Rolex watches need to be serviced every 3 years, and for mine, i bring back to the shop, they will charge me for around $100 plus.

By the way, is a second hand watch and mine is made in the year 2005, so it makes sense that the younger it is, the more expensive it becomes. I really like my Rolex watch and was really very happy to own one for a life time to come, i know its value and am happy that there is a value there to keep.

Sorry, i'm not gonna reveal the price of it but its above 5k, its the most expensive watch that i bought so far in my 39 years. My Tag H watch didn't cost so much, roughly around 1.2k only. My friend joked with me that this watch is worn for others to see..., i know that i will use my watch and wear it....

Tea Organic Food and Sunset in Taitung

Its a nice lunch over at Taitung after the Eco bicycle tour organised by Ah Du. Lunch was organically prepared and using Tea. You must be there to taste those delicious lunch although i must say that its abit saltish to me, on top of that, its fine with me. Owner is using Tea to prepare those dishes and gosh i love those fat meats, delicious soup which is my favourite.

Next thing, we are going on to this place where i took out my orange filters to play with, sorry, i just can't remember the location but i know, its off Taitung area. Nice place where they have this tall grass dancing in the winds, very romantic though, i just love it, you don't see them in Singapore at all, but here, you see them and its lovely getting them into the pictures and posing them.

I'm glad i came here....

Porter International Bag and Accessories

I immediately fell in love with their line of bags and till i went on to their website, i didn't know that they carry other things as well, like accessories, clothes, etc...

But knowing myself, when i went to Hong Kong for my recent holidays cum work, i knew that i will definitely get a bag to come back with me to Singapore. And wala, i did it, but am i surprised that at what i bought, when i told myself that Backpack are a no no for me....Guess i changed....:P

I actually bought a backpack for myself which set me back at approximately HKD3k. Gosh, did i immediately fell in love with its navy blue colour and shiny outer layer of the bag, very clean cut, shiny buckles, comes with a nice little torch as well too.

What i really liked about the backpack is that, it also comes with many compartments to keep those things of yours away. In front of the bag, there is actually two big compartments where you can store your passport, wallet, keys, basically anything, you'll like to store away while carrying this favourite bag or when you'll want to get to your things quickly and carries alot of things, this is where you'll store them away neatly...

Well, i'm not finished yet, there is a nice zipper at the back of the backpack, where again, the designer of this line of bag has made to allow its users to quickly access their belongings and be done with. I actually used my backpack while traveling back to Singapore and i must say from first hand information, that its just a great backpack to start off with.

It comes in navy blue and black and i think on their website they have brownie as well, which is basically light brown. I thought that navy blue is quite unique and nice for a backpack like this that i'm carrying right now...:P

Bicycle Ecological Tour in Taitung, Taiwan

Hi Folks, as promised, i'm back with more of Taiwan where i continue to explore the life of Taiwan. You do know that Taiwan is really into the Ecological thing and part of our itinerary is to explore this on a bicycle and get to know more of what Taiwan has to offer in this area - TAITUNG, TAIWAN.

Time seems to be on stand-still when we rode our bicycles into the roads leading the fields of bananas, paddy fields and not forgetting pineapple fields as well. My Eco guide and also coincidentally the owner as well for this nice shop called Ah Du. He uses his name as the signboard for his shop and he is really a comedian. We were entertained by his voice and laughter and its really contagious. All of us had a really good time there, we rode our bike like kids trying to see who beats who first.

Lastly the highlight of our Eco tour, is to lay down on this two-way narrow road. We were apprehensive at first becoz we being Singaporeans are kiasi and kiasu and so we were quite cautious at first but quickly warmed up and followed the directions and commands of our guide and we layed on the road quietly.

I could suddenly feel the quietness, the serenity, peace washing over me, relieving the inward stress that is built inside me and really, falling into a good sleep on the ROAD......we could see the leaves above us swaying with the wind, at times, the sound of vehicles moving past us as well...

Harbin, Heilongjiang Province

Hello there....

I have a piece of good news for myself, i've won me a pair of SQ tickets to Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. I was very elated and of course very happy to have won this prize for myself. And also, tonight, i'm flying off to Hong Kong and Macau for a 5D trip which i hope to achieve some new opportunity when i visit these countries again.

Meaning to say that, my operator will be bringing us to some place in Panyu, Guangzhou Province area to catch the Chime Long Circus, a very popular permanent stage for the performance of animals, clowns, acrobatic performances as well...I hope i'll not be disappointed when i visit them tomorrow night which is scheduled by my operator.

More of Taiwan along the way...

We continued our journey to a place where they had some carpenters doing their crafts for tourist to come and appreciate and watch. There is this little souvenir shop which is also crafted by the local art scene people, for me, i was mesmorized by the beautiful houses that they painted on one of the houses shown above and the little crafts that they made to decorate the shop which is seen above in the shape of wooden owls.

Along the way, we also visited Ming Shu or local homesteads for what they call locally. Owners stay with the tourist during their stay and try to make their stay comfortable. However, for meals, you've got to do that on your own, these homesteads don't provide meals at all. So you got to go to town and get those meals yourself.

While on our way out, we can see those nice red flowers or Luo Shen Hua. The locals will made them into teas and appetizers that once eaten, you'll never forget about their flavour, kinda of like sweet and sourish sort of taste that its capable to bring out. And its also the season of the Shi Jia or custard apples. The locals call them Shi Jia because the body of the fruit looks like the head of Buddha, hence they named the fruit after him. (I will post more of those deliciously sweet fruit again later)...

Xiao Yeliu and Kaohsiung Love River

This day we went to other parts of much interest especially to tourist and to us travel industry personnel as well. So that we can see it for ourselves the beauty of it and come back to SIN and begin to promote them.

During the day, we visited Xiao Yeliu, its a small park facing the big ocean where you can feel the breeze sweeping down your face and you'll get to discover fossils or stones that has gone thru' like ages ago, the formation on the stones are remarkable and nice to the eye, too bad, i wasn't able to bring some back.

In the night, we went to the Kaohsiung Love River where couples go and hang out. From here, you can see the beauty of the lights cast by the buildings itselves and i must say its kinda of romantic abit....:P Here, you can also rent a boat to circle around the pier and i guess its more popular for the locals here to do that than tourist though... All in all, magnificent night scene, must come if you have the chances.

Taiwan - More glorious food

Did i mentioned that there is more food pictures than i could handle? Well, here is just the beginning of some glorious food that we ate during this fam trip organised by TVA. This night market that we went to was quite something in that it has both food and you can also do some shopping as well while you are eating your way thru.

I heard from my guide that the stores change places with one another and that if you went to the exact location to look for one, you'll not be able to find them.

We had squids stuffed with rice, steak and egg noodles, nice Taiwan beverage to cool ourselves down as well, all paid by TVA...:P

Taiwan Flower Expo Cont...

Next up should be my other ventures into Taiwan, traveling out of Taipei city is a must when you travel to Taiwan, its such a waste if you don't. Plenty of good food and nice scenery awaits you when you step out of Taipei and proceed into its over territories.

Taiwan International Flower Expo

Sharing some of my Taiwan pictures that i took while at the Flower Expo. It has opened recently like NOV when we were there and until APR 2011 if i'm right.

I remembered very clearly on that windy morning we saw alot of visitors both old and young queueing to get into the flower expo. Actually, i had wanted to revisit the expo on my own coz i did a 2 nite extension in Taiwan but after seeing that massive of people, i decided no and to do something else while on my extension nites, i guess i did made a right move here...

There are a few centres that you can visit once you've purchased your tickets to go inside. And once inside, you'll need to queue again to get into the centres, thats the irritating part of it all. But i guess, if this is not in place, the place could go really messy and no sense of order.

But all in all, if you have the time, you can really go and visit this place. Check out their website, there is a train just next to it, transportation wise is really efficient in Taiwan.

Ningxia Night Market Taiwan

Just watching the Amazing Race and it was a hell of a fun......You see different teams, dating couples docs, mum and daughters, father and daughters, frens.... How i wish i was also in the amazing race, it should be fun though....

Now, back to my topic of the Ningxia Night Market. We went there on the first day of our trip and it was a eye opener for me coz i have not visited Taiwan for like many years already... ever since my NS days..

It was full of snacks on the streets and different vendors just selling them just makes you grow hungry. The group of us just had some much to eat and we just couldn't wait to start walking and snapping happily away. Not much shopping to do, just plenty of food vendors selling those delicious food, if you happen to be there, just go and you'll not regret it.

Sorry, couldn't provide any directions, coz we were picked up by our coach and we headed here straight...

Family Gathering on 5DEC 2010

We had another seafood feast this night. My parents strike 4D and won around $500 hundreds and decided to treat us to a seafood dinner.

When nearing the weekend, my dad kept pestering us where to have this feast, and my sister remembered that she saw the TV recommending this coffee-shop place which serves up good seafood dishes, hence we decided to give it a try rather than going back to our usual place, which you can see in my earlier post.

We reached around 7pm, and guess what, there was already a group of people waiting and its first come first served, you've got to look up the seats yourself or finding the seats required for your family, as we only have 4 of us, hence its easier to look as the rest of the customers came in big family groups.

We ordered cereal prawns, chilli crab, fried chilli kang kong, crab bee hoon and one more dish which is their signature dish that is fried to crispy topped with mango cubes.

Spent around $93 dollars excluding drinks and beers... Generally, thumbs up for cereal prawns and the crab bee hoon, the rest so so.... Be prepared to wait for at least 1hr to be served with your food. We thought maybe in future, to come later like 8pm, but guess what, we heard, that around 8pm, all crabs were sold out...

Karting, i've won 2nd place

Never, did i expect myself to win this race, organised by the MGTO, namely the Macau Tourism Office this past Thursday - 25NOV 2010. I think it was nicely organised with galore of food, many things that all people can play around with like air-brush tatoo and many other games to keep one occupied as well.

It was a raining evening with thunder coming down on that evening but we still was very game on to try this karting that MGTO has kindly organised for its supporting members from the trade. It was really a night of fun, excitement, thrill and of course dirt on our face and clothes as well for all whom has participated in this event.

We were separated into the ladies and men's heat after a few rounds of warm up and boy was it exhilarating, we were then split into our male and female heats and off we went...

While competing in the heats, i managed to come in and qualify for its final round. I came in the 10th place to compete in the final round and everyone thought that i was a black horse. As there was a betting issued to see who will come in the 1st 3 slots and whoever gets all correct will get a prize. But i guess none actually won that....hahaha...:P

Anyway, back to the race track.... I was quite nervous when my name was announced to be included in the final round competition but i went for it. So off, all the 10 racers, and during one of the turns, some racers accidentally bumped into one another and hence, i was able to pass them to come in 3rd place in the race. However, there was a twist actually, the no 2nd racer also came to a slight accident where his wheel was caught in a ditch. I was then able to pass him and got myself in the 2nd place in the race.

I was really really very very happy that i've won and i guess its really pure luck too, if there wasn't a bumper and if no 2nd racer didn't met with a slight accident.

Hence, i won myself a trophy and a $80 NTUC voucher, plus because nobody won the guessing game of who will come in the 1st 3 places, the prize of $30 NTUC voucher was thrown in the bowl for a lucky draw, i won that too....ain't i lucky? Next, my name card was placed into the bowl again for the lucky draw and again i won for myself a 1 night stay at Rocks Hotel Macau and another $20 NTUC voucher. Hence, total - $130 NTUC voucher, i've won....hurray..............woohoooooo

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I in cinema today

I've watched Harry Potter with another fren of mine whom is also my trade competitor but really, he is a serious bloke whom is struggling with some internal struggles within himself and the relationship that he has with his other colleague whom i also got to know during a recent trip that i had.

I dished out some advice to him and asked him to reconsider the options and i hope that he will be able to resolve those issues with his colleagues. I guess working in this world, there are bound to have frictions and at the end of the day, its really boils down to how you as a individual handles those problem and hopefully, it will be a good ending. I'll not not discuss the specifics here coz i think his colleague may know about my this blog and secretly may come reading her way here....:P.......That i wouldn't want it to happen to cause unhappiness within their circle of friendship. So, i'll keep it very vague here.

Back to Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows, quite interesting and i must say the gigantic python really played its part well, probably some gimmick of the computer graphics to make it so alive which at the disposal of "The one that must not be named". When Harry and the others rounded up at his birth place and reliving a painful experience of the night where his parents - James and Lily were killed to protect him. The python reappears to destroy him but quick witted is he and Hermione, they were able to escape its clutches. Part 1 is now showing in the cinemas, i wonder when is Part 2 coming out???? Oh by the way, i'm back reading the first and the second book of Harry Potter series, i thought its nice re-reading it.....

Skin Food, MASK Rice, try it today!

A few days ago when congregating with my colleagues, suddenly, my fren was looking at my face and complexion. She said, i should like this new product called the Skin Food, MASK Rice. Its a white substance that is suppose to be applied onto the dry face after cleansing. After that, wash it out, i think i will try it out and see what is the effect like.

My frens said that after using it, they felt their skin was renewed after using it. Hence, i told my fren whom is leading a tour to Korea and bought me one small bottle. It cost me $9.20 and i thought it wasn't that expensive. Definitely, give it a try and see the results........:P

Missing Taiwan!

I am beginning to miss Taiwan already...........

I miss the cool air-con weather, heard that winter has dawned on Taiwan early this year........

The food, i'll miss that as well, i remember going down to Keelung Night Market and ordering 9 slices of Sushi which only cost me NT$90 meaning NT$10 per piece, damn i should have eaten more of it....

Now, its raining cats and dogs outside my window in Woodlands, i'm also missing jiufen as well, with its howling winds and rain, while i sip a nice fruit tea and bite on a nice cold white chocolate cake, i guess thats life rite?

Naruwan - Welcome to Taiwan

I'm very happy to be here in Taiwan. Remember i was telling you all that i will be visiting Taiwan for a fam trip. Yesterday, i was packing my luggage and sweating like mad, packing and unpacking, thinking i don't need this and i need that...

As i don't have a very big luggage, i guess, this is my longest holiday ever since my Australia trip or Nepal Trip. This time round, i'm attending a 6days Fam trip and extending 2 nights in this beautiful city again at the end of the fam trip.

Today, we arrived in Taiwan Taoyuan airport and after a short journey we arrived in our dining area for our dinner tonight, the place is nestled in the heart of Ningxia Rd, Night Market, we got to try all sorts of delicacies, snacks, and many other kinds of food as well.

I'm really loving this place although, its only my first night here.....Our nights accommodation - PALAIS de CHINE Hotel, 5star property. Very very very grand hotel with nice warm staff, level 1 has a simple counter, take the lift to level 6 where you complete your registration as their in-house guest, use your card and enter the lift.

The hotel gives me the old victorian style with individual toilet and bath room, it even comes with a round bath tub as well, really pampers the guest very much, there is a statue of a horse just stationed in level 1. The owner believes that in the olden times, travelers will travel in horse ridden ways and at the end of the day, they will wish to come and stay overnight in a nice hotel, hence the horse is there to remind travelers, that one can find such comfort in this hotel here.

Come pamper yourself and you'll definitely love it...

Did i mentioned that i'm considering taking my driving test! Actually, i was thinking about it and has been toying with this idea in my head for quite some time already.

The thing is that there are many factors to consider when i eventually get my driving license and at the end of the day, i think owning a car will also be in the pipeline as well. I've seen my friends, colleagues and even my own brother owning a car and heck, its not that smooth sailing and easy going as it seems to be. Factors like : Maintenance, Carparking and Insurance as well, all can really add up and become a huge bill at the end of the day. There is this website on Dallas auto repair, where it shows many top-notch repair shops listed on their site and reviews and feedbacks from car owners after the repair works done to their motor vehicle.

I saw this interesting page in regards to brake job , i know this is a very important part of the equipment inside a car and although, its a small part, it can stop the moving vehicle and make it stationery. Alot of accidents involved around the brake jobs so if you aren't careful or you got a lousy repair shop to look at it, chances are they might screw it up, but the page i recommended is quite thorough and you might want to look it up and use it as a reference as well.

Since, i may be thinking of owning a car, this truck - chevrolet silverado might be a good choice for me. Folks whom has driven and own this truck before, will post their comments on the forum and one can just refer to them and scroll during their ease time and check it out. Very useful site for anyone wishing to own a car but do not know which car/truck will suit them well.
